Decided to call for lunch as I hadn't been for years. I had my favourite, Mince and dumplings, just perfect for a cold winter's day. The meal was huge and could only place a small amount of vegetables in the bowl with the mince and dumplings. The food was served hot on a well-heated plate and everything was perfect. I thought that I had sufficient space for a dessert and ordered sticky toffee pudding. It was delicious but a big mistake to order it as I definitely did not have the capacity to eat anymore!!

Had another fab stay for New Year at The Turks. There was a slight problem with our room and we were moved into another room, which was a great room. Breakfast was excellent quality, as were the couple of meals we had as well. Highly recommend the Fish and Chips and the Mince with dumplings. The staff are all super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks for a great break.

My husband and I had an excellent evening here. The food was delicious (fish and chips followed by syrup sponge and custard) and the atmosphere was amazing. We were welcomed by the locals and had such a fun evening. What a lovely friendly local pub.

Nice atmosphere, dog friendly and comfortable surroundings. Hospitality was great, good selection of drinks and food. The sausage and mash, pie and vegetables were nicely done. Garlic bread and some other slides slightly too greasy for us but otherwise very nice place.

Lovely meal. Beef n gravy ciabatta and chips was perfect and fish n chips lovely. Good portion size. Too full for dessert sadly. Highly recommended
