We were visiting the surrounding area from Wiltshire and found this lovely cafe on the last day of our holiday (wish we had found it earlier!!) such welcoming staff and the food, especially the homemade cakes were delicious, very reasonably priced too, a cafe not to be missed!!

Popped in with Ic and Flic for a full English on a wet and windy North East coast day. The large breakfast (£11.50) was tastey and came with two rounds of toast. Also had a black coffee each. A comfortable and friendly establishment. Only one minor complaint, the sausages were not what we call breakfast sausages.( plain pork) They had a herb flavour more suited to sausage, mash and gravy. Cakes and general menu looks good.

We live locally but had never been in before today. We visited with our little one, there were high chairs available. We had 2 breakfasts and lattes, which were fab. Served by a really lovely friendly lady (who we think said she had moved up from Surrey). Fab place and very reasonable, we will be back ?

They have just started doing Sunday lunch over the winter months. 4 of us enjoyed a lovely lunch. 3 had beef and I had pork. The portions were generous and the meal was hot enough. There was extra gravy jugs on each meal, a medley of green vegetables and creamedsweet potato. The roar potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The only thing Y didn't like was the Yorkshire pudding. I like mine light and crisp. There was too much batter in the trays for me so they were thick. We followed with cakes from the chiller and coffee. They have a small selection of wines and bottles beers.Lovely staff, both friendly and efficient.Very good value for money.

Stopped off for breakfast on way home from a lovely weekend in Northumberland. What a find. The food was delicious. Service was excellent. The staff were a delight. Perfect end to our weekend away. Will definitely return as we need to sample the cakes which looked spectacular.

Staff were really friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our children's lunch request. Paninni was delicious with generous fillings. The banofee tart and brownie were equally lovely with a cup of coffee. Highly reccomended.
Not the best coffee in the world but perfectly ok, nice cakes and visited 3 times, so far. The front needs serious smartening up, we have come here for years and just walk past but tried it this year and not disappointed. If they had some really nice seating outside, it would attract more people, we observed several couples looking but moving on. Today, the Astra turf needing sweeping and there was cutlery lying on the ground, very off-putting.Dietary restrictions: GF options too.

I love the team here, what a welcoming and friendly bunch. I'm vegan and often asking for little adjustments to the food menu and it's never an issue. The choices for vegans is also very good. The breakfast option was awesome yesterday, keep up the good work guys. This is my go too when we visit our holiday home in SeahousesVegetarian options: Vegan options excellent

We had excellent coffees, the nicest carrot cake, brownie and strawberry tart that we could have asked for. Such an excellent choice of really fabulous looking cakes, that we cannot wait to come back.
