We found this place whilst on a walk with our dog. There was a short queue so we waited on the benches out the front in the sunshine and were soon ushered in as our table was ready. The decor is lovely, the staff were very friendly and efficient and the cake was delicious. The lime, coconut and ginger cake was by far our favourite. A delicious hot chocolate and cup of tea. A very pleasant experience all round.

Unbelievable food. We had the lunch special, chicken and mushroom pie. I have never tasted a better pie in my life. The service and atmosphere is great.

A brief visit on a cold day for hot drinks and a bite of lunch. A bacon sandwich for me and a sausage sandwich for my husband, both cooked perfectly to our taste. Couldn't have been better.

Just went in for food to go, had the eggs benedict on toast. Unbelievable quality. Portions aren't massive but they don't need to be, was the perfect size to hit the spot and very quick considering it was flat out inside.

Stunning fire by the Christmas tree, efficient service and wonderful breakfast food and tea. Quite a varied menu however, dog friendly and beautifully warm and welcoming.

Excellent service- really efficient. Food delicious - try the Craster kippers. Be warned - it’s very popular and we had to wait- but it is worth it.

Met a friend here for lunch. It was our first time; our friend knew it well. I liked the fact that they had a breakfast menu, a lunch menu, and then a section which was breakfasty food that gets served all day - perfect. Our orders were a soup of the day, a bacon sandwich and the avocado with egg, bacon etc on toast. Comments on soup, and bacon sandwich were totally delicious. However, when my avocado came, it was very oxidised and grey. I wondered whether to send it back as I don't like complaining, but I decided that I would. They justified it by saying it all gets smashed at the start of the day then gets piped onto the toast... however, they happily took it back and ten or so minutes later, a whole fresh meal came out and it was totally perfect. I'm so glad I said something as there was no comparison to the first plate. Well done for re-cooking everything for me, top quality second time round. very relaxed place, no bookings, but plenty of space to wait. Dog friendly too.

Had a lovely lunch here whilst visiting the area ( been before and loved it then). The food (burgers) was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent. And the tea was lovely. I do hope it stays the same in the future.

A great B&B with a cafe downstairs very centrally located. This was a great visit. Our room was in the eaves but beautifully fitted with great attention to detail and quality fixtures and fittings. Breakfast was perfectly presented and cooked in an already bustling cafe first thing in the morning. Just wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more that the cafe had to offer. The cakes looked amazing!
