Great place for food. Lovely courtyard at the back which was great for our big dog. Food was delicious and specials were lovely. Staff very friendly. Highly recommend.

Went to the hermitage on a Friday night for food with friends and was not disappointed, had the homemade steak pie chips and peas and was delicious, great value for money

I was a bit disappointed by this place. The style doesn't quite work with the clientele, in my opinion. However, the staff are friendly and the beer was good.
As a sports bar it does a good job with multiple screens showing the game. The drinkers probably don't need the commentary piped through as well though.
The food was poor. I had the Mac and cheese which was plain macaroni under a layer of very well grilled cheese. My wife had liver which was passable and my sons burger was ok. Maybe we hit it on a bad night but the place has potential if they can up the game in the kitchen.
