Wow! Been a few times now and have not been let down. Really REALLY good food. Reasonably priced (especially for the quality). £55 for two starters, two mains and two drinks. One thing I will say, which is always a big plus for my girlfriend and I, they are really dog friendly and the staff are extremely polite and attentive. Unfortunately, this is not always the case now days. Will be a regular thing for us from now on.The only negative if I am being super critical is the parking can be a problem.

Always great food, never made it to desert as always too full.Parking: Parking directly outside there's around 5 spots limited to 2 hours during the day.

The Vic has the best food, beer and wine. The vegetarian choices are excellent. The menu changes frequently. The desserts tend to be chocolate based, which doesn't suit my wife. They could do with more fruit based choices.Vegetarian options: My wife's favourite is Spanakopita, which is on regularly.

Absolutely brilliant food amazing, staff spot on, phoned before hand told them I’m disabled and needed to be near a wall to help met sit down and stand up easily and that’s exactly what I got. Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the lovely hospitality we received celebrating my sons 23RD birthday meal.

The food was lovely, but it was like sitting in an ice box in the dining room whilst eating our meal - no heating whatsoever, even though the dining room had radiators but not switched on, there was a very small fire in room next door which you wouldn't feel the benefit of unless you were sitting directly in front of it. I was extremely disappointed for my birthday lunch. BTW corridor to toilet was lovely and warm, the radiators were scoricho!? I doubt I'll visit again for food until summertime as way too cold!I can't give 0 stars!

A great place to eat and drink

Excellent food, friendly staff, what I would call a proper pub atmosphere. The only glitch was that my pudding turned up as Sticky Toffee Pudding rather than the Chocolate Brownie that I thought I ordered but it turned out that my wife had gone to the bar and decided not to order what I had chosen ?The pudding I had was gluten free and was delicious, they had a selection of GF desserts, just ask. Some of the main courses were also GF but these change day to day and apparently during the evening as I watched things being added and removed from the board.

A reference level boozer. Great range of ale, friendly staff and locals. Food looked and smelled delicious, we didn't eat this visit, but have previously and it's highly recommended.

Lovely Victorian pub with a myriad of rooms to explore and a direct seemingly secret entrance directly from the Nottingham bound platform at Beeston station! Very handy to pop into before or after a long train journey with lovely food and ales

Literally never fails. Warm, friendly, quick service, excellent sausage and mash, very well kept beer.

Called in to find something to eat. Very busy place, thankfully we arrived just in time to find a table.Ordered drinks and food, generic prices, not too bad.Food arrived within 10 minutes, piping hot, very nice indeed. The only 'criticism' was the portion sizes. But that doesn't detract from the quality. Very nice.

As always phenomenal food, great service and real ale.Love their ever-changing noticeboard of a menu, but the fire and the fact that not only do they now have vegan options (im dairy free) but they have new dishes to try. After 20 years, it is still a super pub. Never had a bad meal nor a beer here..XLong regij the Queen Victoria! ?
