We regularly pop into our local for drinks or attend the pub quiz on a Sunday evening. The food and atmosphere are also great. The pub welcomes kids and is dog friendly. This evening we're listening to live singer/guitarist Bootleg Paul Weller who is excellent.

65 Gedling Rd, Carlton, NottinghamI had the most wonderful evening at Amores Gedling. From the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel completely at home. The service was impeccable — attentive without being intrusive.
The food was outstanding. Every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality, fresh ingredients. It’s rare to find such authentic Italian cuisine outside of Italy, but Amores truly delivers!
It’s clear that a lot of love and care goes into everything they do here. I left feeling genuinely happy and satisfied. I can’t wait to return. Thank you, Amores, for such a memorable dining experience! ?

334-336 Carlton Hill, Carlton, NottinghamHad the mixed grill and can honestly say it was cooked to perfection like somebody actually enjoys cooking which unfortunately is not my experience in most pubs now. I will return to this one in the future.

9 Westdale Ln E, Carlton, NottinghamThe Plaice is such a little gem to have on our door step. The food is always tasty and hot, the staff are super friendly and it’s great value for money. My husband works away and one his first requests when he gets home is a visit to ‘The Plaice’.

302 Carlton Hill, Carlton, NottinghamThis place does't serve takeaway. But thats COVIDs Fault. However, the food is so good! Especially the spicy stuff. If you are Muslim and don't want to eat here. It is Halal. The service is pretty quick. It gets done in 5 minutes. The inside isn't that clean, but seriously, the place is takeaway. This food is awesome and I had a great time. My favourite local place to eat. Keep it going, Chick Chick.
