Great country pub with decent food and fantastic staff. Would love to have given it 5* but upon on arrival our party of 9 was informed that the management had decided the day before to make the venue CASHLESS. I really hope this is something the management re-consider. Cash is king. It is very worrying to see another small business discriminating against the elderly and people who choose to use cash.
Officially found the greatest roast in the UK. I cannot recommend the ultimate roast enough. 10/10. Meat was cooked to perfection and the roast potatoes were so flavourful. The eclectic dessert menu was also top tier. Desperate to go back tbh.The staff were so helpful and managed to accommodate a group of us and our 4 legged friends.

One of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had. The beef was cooked beautifully, melted in the mouth. The extra cauliflower cheese was fab and the extra jug of gravy, much appreciated. Great menu, everyone had a different roast and there was nothing left on any plate. Puddings also lovely. I would recommend the bakewell tart. Great service, and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and I can't wait to go back.
