First time for me in the Everest and I can definitely say it will not be the last.Myself and a few old work friends arranged a couple of days away at a local camp sire (Smeeton's Lakes). We're all retired and enjoyed a few great beers around the wonderful Newark town centre. We'd prebooked a meal at the Everest and what a find! The food was superb! Very fresh and tasty. Lots of variations of dishes I'd tried before and others well described in the menu. I tried something I'd not had before (and can't remember now) but it was like a hot chicken tikka masala. It was beautiful. Moist chicken tikka and a wonderful rich sauce. Nan breads that were fresh and grease free unlike some you get elsewhere.A very reasonable price too. We had lots of food with a mix of beer, wine and as much tap water as we wanted.Service was equally superb. The staff were very attentive and friendly and clearly took a pride in their work. When it was time to leave we asked them to call us a taxi which they offered to do but then graciously offered to give us a lift back to the campsite themselves as they weren't too busy. Two trips to manage us all. We might have had to wait a while for a taxi. I can't fault the staff at all. Above and beyond our expectation. And hence this review. It's taken me 15 mins to write, but it's the least I can do to repay their kindness.Very impressed and as I said, we will be back.I recommend the Everest to anyone wanting superb food with excellent service on your next visit to Newark.

5/5! The staff here are exceptional, really hospitable. Came here last week as a family and everyone left grinning - if a little full! Tasted like home food in the best way!We ordered:Aloo Chana Puri (Veg),Momos (Lamb),Maccha Malekhu (Fish),Fresh Bhindi (Veg),Tarka Daal (Veg),Tandoori Roti and Peshuari Naan.Everything was delicious, and each dish complemented the meal's overall flavours, I wouldn't be able to pick favourites, it was all so tasty! I have to recommend all of it!

Food is always amazing - our favourite takeaway in Newark! Sometimes delivery takes a while when it's busy but it's always worth the wait and still arrives hot. Lots of veggie options but the paneer masala are the best!Vegetarian options: The paneer masala is amazing

I’ve been here a number of times with work colleagues and most recently my son. The service is always excellent and the food is amazing. I’ve tried a variety of dishes and can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. Always well looked after.

My all-time Favorite Asian restaurant. We have been several times to this excellent restaurant, which is spacious, modern, comfortable and friendly, and importantly, prepares delicious meals at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly, capable, and a credit to the Restaurant. I have to say though, that last weekend they exceeded even their own high standards, with food to die for. I don't normally pick out individuals, but our waitress Juna was an absolute star. She was bubbly, cheerful and helpful, and sorted out our individual preferences with good humour (some of our party didn't like fresh Coriander) and tolerance. It made our already enjoyable night perfect. Full marks to the Everest Restaurant and their hard-working staff - in the words of Arnie "I'll be back".

Delicious food. The staff were very accommodating with our menu choices due to food intolerances, which made the meal far more enjoyable. Will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely late lunch at the Everest Inn on Sunday. I had a King Prawn Nepal cooked in a curry sauce flavoured with mango, and it was delicious! One of my friends had the Trout, another chose the Seabass Fillet, and one had the mixed grill. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and very accommodating. We all enjoyed our meal and would be happy to dine there again!

Have been using this takeaway for years and nothing has ever come close. However I ordered on the app and it said approx 45 mins to collect or 90 to deliver. I’ve always had a phone call when it’s ready so waited and waited. After 50 mins I went to collect hoping it was ready, I thought it must of been busy because of the coronation, when I got there I found my food had been sat there for 30 minutes. I asked why they hadn’t rank me and they said oh we just expect you to turn up!! I don’t know if they think I’m a mind reader!! The meal had to be reheated. The next day, 3 out of 4 people suffered with an upset stomach and the runs. Definitely been put of by this. Not sure if it’s changed hands but nothing like what we’re use to

The name is misleading, it makes you think its a pub not a nice restaurant. Friendly staff serving good food at reasonable prices.

The staff that night, especially the lead waitress, we're brilliant. We had a leaving party for one of our staff. 26 people turned up. 10 more than expected, but the staff dealt with the constant flow of people arriving. Service was fantastic and food just as good.

Called in here on spec at teatime for a Mother's Day meal - they were very welcoming and sorted a table for us very quickly. The food was excellent. We will definitely be back!!
