Brought my mum here for the first time on Mothering Sunday, on recommendation from my cousin.Lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere, delicious food and exemplary service throughout.I'd like to make special mention of our lovely bartender from Doncaster (I'm so sorry, I didn't ask your name), who made us two delicious Singapore Slings to round the night off, and spent time chatting to us even though I'm sure he had plenty of other things to be doing. My mum felt thoroughly spoilt for the entire visit, and we can't wait to come back and see you all again soon.

Outstanding food- the best we've ever tasted! Amazing service, the 3 course lunch is great value. Highly reccomend.

The meal was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Attentive wait staff (and lots of them!) who didn't let empty plates or glasses sit on the table longer than a few seconds it seemed! And a great wine recommendation. The venue itself was lovely too, possibly the classiest room I've ever been in.Also, as an extra tiny bonus, I am used to (and extremely annoyed by) the bill being constantly placed in front of my husband when we dine together. Here, I asked for the bill, and it was very definitively placed in front of me! Small victories ?Dietary restrictions: Multiple options for dietary restrictions offered upon booking. And they definitely read the booking info as they also gave me a birthday card!!Parking: Four hours free parking in the next door virgin active gym.

Over cooked beef wellington. Completely incinerated fillet, what a waste of a cow. Waiter didnt check to see if we was happy with the food until be was finished eating our mains. knocked 15 quid off the food and ignored us after that.

Very nice food and great staff. We went and had some lovely food with wines, cocktails and beers. The starters of miso salmon and the special of lamb kofta was delicious and definitely our favourite. We also went for the special steak which was very tasty. Overall a very nice experience and I would come back. The setting is very nice, but for the price (so I judge a little harder than other places) I expected a little more.Another point there is only one beer on tap freedom lager.

First time but not the last. Saturday lunch on the fixed price menu. The food looked amazing and tasted it too. The plates of food looked small but after only two courses I was full.

For the price this place is just ok.I have been to a few places of this price and you normally get an amuse-bouche or two, and a few things that makes the meal interesting. All you get here is the 3 courses and you even have to pay extra for basic sides, for example chips with the steak. The food was good but we had matching wines and again no real description of the wines that you normally get at this level of restaurant. Also my Cointreau coffee (similar to an Irish coffee... If you haven't tried it then you should, it's delicious... Just maybe not here) was terrible, I sent one back and the next one was worse.Overall food good but the experience for the price needs to be better.

Sunday lunch today was exceptional - the food was excellent, great atmosphere but what made it stand out was the quality of their staff - exemplary!

We visited on the offer of 3 course Sunday Lunch, having had a few drinks in Binks Yard, we went upstairs to a very busy restaurant, we were seated looking over the canal, the service was very good and the food amazing. We definitely will go again.

Ate here on 28th Dec 2023.Best meal I’ve had for a long time.Every course was truly outstanding. The wine list is spot on - extremely well considered. The service was attentive but not OTT. Also, not overly expensive. (They even knew how to make a proper dry martini!)Reminded me of Harts in its heyday.

I’m so sorry not to rate this higher because watching the chefs work their socks off it should be. BUT they are let down by waitress/front of house. This is supposed to be (& should be classed as) a high end restaurant. However there are basics which sadly (and still as is on my 6/7 visit here) are not upheld. If we are offered an aperitif then that’s exactly what it should be. Not the case tonight. It firstly took ages to be asked about a drink and then ages for it to arrive. We even delayed ordering our meal to await said drinks. That said our starters still came while still having our cocktails which is not appropriate. That then meant the wine coming mid meal rather than ready for the meal. We are referring to basic pre-requisites here. The meal generally felt rushed and then post the meal we had to flag staff down to request coffee etc. On my very first visit I put some of the poorer service down to teething problems but I’d say by now this should be nailed. I watch in awe at the chefs working here tonight and they deserve huge amounts of praise because the food they turn out is pretty awesome. Please please train your front of house/waitressing staff to be better because it is them being better that will make the difference. Incidentally concentrating on the famous people in there (Sean Dyche tonight!) does not make up for not concentrating on us mere mortals!!! There is definitely a disparity between the kitchen (who seems excellent) and the restaurant staff (who need to up their game). I am not one to be awkward in a restaurant but I am one who expects great service at a restaurant that firstly sells themselves as a special destination venue and secondly one that pops 10% automatically on the bill for service!!!! We brought our friends for their first time tonight and sadly wasn’t what we hoped it would be (again). It’s a stunning venue, the food is amazing but please sort out the service because that’s going to make or break you! Also lose the ridiculousness of not accepting cash!!!!

I've awarded 4 stars which marks up as Very Good as 3 stars is Average, which would be unfair. A very attractive restaurant serving good food but completely let down by the service. Our coats were taken and we were shown to our table. We waited, and waited and waited for someone to ask if we would like a drink, a menu, anything..... a senior member of staff walked past our table twice to top up wine glasses at a neighbouring table. She finally noticed us trying to catch her attention, saw we had no menus or drinks and came over but didn't apologise. In fairness, she did bring us a card wishing us Happy Anniversary which was kind. We ordered a cocktail and our meals plus a bottle of wine. After a long wait our cocktails arrived. We each had a Blackberry Frappe, which were very good but perhaps served in the wrong glass as we both ended up with a lot of icing sugar on our faces. Our food was delightful, pine cured salmon and chicken liver parfait then both of us had the beef cheeks with perhaps the best mashed potato we've ever had. A cheeseboard and sticky toffee pudding to finish. Both of these were ok but nothing special. Something I really object to: supplements. Of the 7 main dishes, 3 were marked as such. To get back to the poor service. We were told by the waiter who brought our food that the waitress who had brought our cutlery and bread was refusing to pour us any wine. Astonishing. We ended up doing this ourselves. Presumably a confidence matter but certainly not what we would expect in a restaurant that markets itself as a Michelin restaurant. When our bill arrived we asked for the service charge to be removed. It was and we chose to tip the young man who, in our opinion, was the only member of the waiting staff who was actually doing his job. Would I return? To be honest I really don't know.
