“Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. My mum, hubby, 2 daughters and I came before heading to the cinema and we're all so impressed. My hubby and I are gluten intolerant - we could eat most of the menu and there were gf buns! Woo! So many places we have to go bunless which is just not the same! My mum is fairly particular in that she only likes things plain, no fuss, no sauce/salad etc - it's surprising how many restaurants find that instruction difficult but Fat Hippo nailed it, and one of our girls is sooooo fussy but it wasn't an issue, they just humoured her and treated her as they did the rest of us - so she didn't feel uncomfortable at any point.

Honestly everything was spot on, couldn't be happier and the food was banging, and really great value.

They also have burgers, Asian food etc, not only British food. Looks like they have a great selection of drinks.

The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Seats are comfy. One of the most clean restaurant I've been to in the UK. You can order either from the bar or at your table by a QR code.”

“I was treated to a birthday meal at the Bendigo Lounge in Beeston yesterday evening, and it was definitely a treat, as it always is whenever I go to one of these café bars under the 'Lounge' name! The interior decoration and aesthetic of the Lounges is always chic but cosy at the same time, it has a New Orleans bordello feel to it, I don't know if that's what they're going for but it feels right to say. The Bendigo Lounge is no exception, it has a trendy yet laid back atmosphere, and the food and drinks menus both have a great variety of things to try- it's difficult to have the same thing twice. I had the trio of tapas plates (Korean prawns, guacamole with tortilla chips and harissa chicken skewers), with sides of halloumi fries with chipoltle jam and plain potato fries, and all three were very tasty and presented so well. All of it was washed down with a few refreshing cocktails, the Cherry Bakewell takes the title of my favourite drink of the evening, and it came free of charge courtesy of one of the kind and friendly staff who I assume was the manager- since it was a special occasion. He turned the chocolate brownie and Americano I ordered for dessert into a treat unto itself, with a bit of a birthday upgrade, which was a very kind and pleasant surprise. The chap who greeted us when we entered was lovely and attentive, he made us feel special and welcomed, and took a short bit of time out of his shift to chat about how our day had been so far. His delicious recommendation of pouring the leftover harissa marinade into the guacamole felt like an insider tip, I felt honoured, ?.
