£3.70 for a latte...possibly the most expensive coffee in Retford.Other good coffee shops are available but this was an expensive change of scenery.

Came here for brunch; the coffee was delicious and the eggs florentine the best I’ve ever had! Staff were very friendly and efficient, the service was spot on. If I lived nearer (am in Chesterfield) I would be here all the time!

We loved it!We visited a friend who lives in a nearby village and wanted somewhere nice for lunch as it was her birthday. The decor is lovely and so is the atmosphere. On arriving we were waited on by a lovely lady with a Scottish accent, she was wonderfully accommodating and made us feel so welcome, took real interest in us and made a fuss of our friend who’s birthday it was. The coffee was really good and we ordered food. It was presented to a high standard and was really good food.We then had cakes and they put a candle in a cake for my friend which was super nice.Highly recommended

Very nice place, lovely decor, good facilities (upstairs) further seating upstairs, flexible attitude towards ingredients. Food lovely, great pot of tea (Yorkshire Tea).

Updated post owner message receipt .Coffee & walnut cake - Buttercreme, unusually, not smooth but very .?..'bitty' ?! Some kind of granulate in it - As though the icing sugar hadn't been sifted before use. Nice reply from owner - saying this was down to crushed walnuts being used in the Buttercreme recipe. - which certainly would explain the lack on/in the cake & the texture - thank you. This texture did adversely affect the culinary experience for us.Cake itself didn't taste of coffee or walnut. Very dry consistency to the cake itself.A few hardened coffee beans on top though. The Decaf coffee itself was very very ( too ) strong. Informed by the extremely pleasant & helpful staff that this was due to them using a double shots of decaf as it's decaf. Normal strength decaf coffee would be a one shot, I think Ask them for " one shot decaf." if you don't like an extremely strong taste. My partner does, but it was still far too strong for her.Very accomodating & happy, efficient staff though .

This venue looks up market and stands out from the rest.I'm all for supporting local as we entered we stood as the sign suggests to wait to be seated so we waited and waited with no acknowledgement or offer of taking a seat. So we turned on our heal and left and sadly will not try again.
Visited with a Gluten Free friend, and very pleasantly surprised to finally a GF menu as extensive as the main menu. Very good coffee and a very good range of dishes on offer.Dietary restrictions: Very good GF menu

The only thing I could fault it on was it was freezing. We did learn later there was something wrong with the heating. Would definitely go again
