My daughter and I called in here with my elderly disabled mum after a visit to Newark hospital around 4.30pm. What a lovely, friendly landlady. Nothing was too much trouble to accommodate my mum, even doing her a certain sandwich that they finished serving at 3pm. It restores my faith in humanity.This lady deserves all the custom she gets and more. We wish her all the very best and will definitely return. The food was great too and would highly recommend ?
Visited this pub with some family last week. The food was absolutely wonderful. The staff were friendly and it had a great atmosphere.Will definitely be visiting again. Good prices too!

Only called in for beer. It was very well kept .Great to see Ed the barman who has moved here from the Beck. He's a great bloke who knows his cellar work and is very, very Customer focused.A lovely log fire and other staff were friendly too.Didn't have any food so can't comment on it, but if the food is as good as the beer then you won't be disappointed.
