Thought we would have a nice lunch twice here and both times they have no stock of any hot lunch items. Thought after the first time it would be a 1 off however nothing available on the second try. Extremely disappointing!
I have been disappointed with this cafe before but as it is Waitrose, you live in hope that they will get their act together. In spite of the lunch hour it was almost empty. A cold blast went through the cafe every time the door opened. Soul less and lacking in atmosphere. That’s the good bit of the feedback. My husband wanted lunch. ‘You know what I like’. We ordered two coffees, one amarricano coffee with hot milk and one flat white. My husband walked to the table with the drinks and passed me the flat white coffee. It was lukewarm so I asked for it to be reheated. The assistant said " You need to drink it quicker and the the temperature is set for health and safety reasons". She then made a little hot milk and topped up the cup. I won't be buying it again.
