“We didnt intend to eat out today, the sun was shining and we walked from heyford across the fields and stopped at The Red Lion for a drink. A beautiful day so we sat outside , we chatted to locals and after a drink more than we intended decided that we would stay for lunch... WOW! The best Sunday Roast we have had in a long time! Presented well, and tasted absolutely amazing. A little more pricey than we would normally pay but worth it. The atmosphere was great and the staff were all really nice. The last few years the lion has had more misses than hits, but this time you guys have nailed it! Highly recommend!! See you again soon :)”

“Stumbled upon this gem of a pub through Google.
I was able to walk in and get a table. I was met with a warm, friendly welcome. The pub has a great atmosphere and the food is exceptional. I was in the area for work and the visit made being away from home a pleasure. Super place I wish I lived nearer!”

“Always had good service when I visited. Always busy when football is on and unfortunately you do get some people who do not consider others when they are supporting their team. When sport is not on it is a good friendly place to have a drink.”
