Don’t go here. When we rang up to order they could not understand what we were saying. We asked to speak to someone else who took the order. When we got the food it was absolutely awful. They had cleared added a lot more pepper to the rice which made two of us feel really sick and the chips were stone cold. Don’t argue with them unless you want to be poisoned

This has been are go to Chinese for over a decade, but recently we have noticed a distinct lack of consistency in flavour and even appearance depending on what day you order. Tonight we ordered the chow mein and it looked anemic and tasted worse then it looked , which I think takes some skill. This is not a cheap takeaway £38 for 4 adults , but after a decade it’s a shame this is fast becoming one to avoid

Went to collect a take out and when I got back home ( I live 15 minutes away ) opens up the food my partner found a silver hair in her sauce. We also ordered the duck and it was supposed to come with cucumber and spring onions but they gave us fried seaweed Instead. Quite upset really as we have always gone there and they have made little mistakes but this was an unforgettable mistake so we will not be going back.
Our first Chinese takeaway in two years. Excellent food. Highly recommended.

We previously had many takeaways from Sunwah and thought it great. This weekend we found on collecting our order that we paid about 20% more for our meal than previously. That's because menu prices had gone up about 10% and we had to pay for prawn crackers (before they were free). The combination of price hikes and non-complimentary crackers meant that we paid nearly £24 on an order that previously was around £20. I understand that businesses need to increase prices as costs go up to stay in profit but it was a big jump. Then to add insult to injury the mushroom chop suey had hardly any mushrooms compared to previously. So they're cutting back on quality too. Most customers won't say anything, they'll just vote with their feet. I'd love to go back to Sunwah if they maintained standards and rethought the prawn cracker policy - then it would be worth the menu price increase. As it stands, we felt ripped off! The service itself was excellent as always - polite and efficient.
