Having tried twice before, we wereable, luckily, to get a table for dinner last night and we certainly felt the persistence paid off.Beautiful setting, cosy, clean restaurant, varied menu choices, friendly, attentive staff and AMAZING, perfectly cooked and presented food.We have eaten at a lot of restaurants in the Cotswolds since moving here 15m ago. Some came highly recommended, some had waiting lists, and some owned by Celebraty chefs but in all honesty, The Fox held it's own against them and even outshone some. We have booked a table to return with friends in April.

50th birthday dinner - beautiful setting on the river, lit up with lights. Excellent service from super friendly staff. Delicious food, attractively presented (definitely recommend the homemade steak & mushroom pie!). Highly recommended!

A cosy pub with a separate bar and restaurant area with lovely staff, polite locals and lovely rustic decor.
Nice country pub in a nice location.Service was ok and food was good but they're one of those arrogant places that likes to presume themselves good enough to assume a service tax on you without asking so watch out for that.

My partner and I booked to stay at The Fox at Barrington as a last minute long weekend break. The food was fantastic and the rooms were spotless and homely. However, the stand out was Andrea. Both my partner and me are hard of hearing, but Andrea took her time to speak slowly and clearly for us to better hear. She went above and beyond in everything she did and made sure everything was as good as it could be.

First time we have visited the Fox for lunch with family and feel that I have to do a review as it was so good. Staff were very friendly and welcoming making us feel very much at home. Really good service, good food and a varied menu, lovely atmosphere and location, will certainly return.
