This is a great little pub with a friendly welcome and warm atmosphere. Well worth popping in for a quiet pint!No food is served, so landlord provides plates and cutlery for the local Indian takeaway (this is a rare example of this great combination in Oxfordshire!)
I love this place. Usually a very quiet low key pub, always very welcoming. On this occasion there was a live music jazz/swing 4 piece band and the pub was very busy by it's own standards. Recommended if you into quite, friendly drinking.

Barry the Landlord was an excellent host for our two evenings drinking late in Charlbury. The pub is very comfortable with great beers on tap and the group was made very welcome. It’s unmissable on a trip to Charlbury. Will remember Barry very fondly and hope to meet him again soon
