I am never a person to complain or write a bad review but I’m sitting here having just come back from the Ladygrove and I am so angry with myself that I didn’t complain at the time. I will start by saying I have eaten here many times and the food I’ve always found to cheap and cheerful if not a little better than that, but on this occasion it was dreadful, there was 3 of us dining and whilst my wife and I were at the bar getting drinks our food was delivered to our table, came back to the table to see the most overdone food I have ever seen, me and my son had burger and fries and my wife surf and turf, our fries were so overdone they looked like they had sat under a heating lamp all day you couldn’t put a fork in them as they just broke and the meat in the burgers was so overcooked almost black, the wife’s chips were very similar to our fries. It was so obvious to look at I’m very surprised that this came out of the kitchen like that, normally you have a waiter come and ask how is the food but on this occasion no one asked I suspect they knew the answer, even when the plates were collected( still full of food ) they didn’t ask the question. I know I should have complained at the time and that’s why I’m so angry with myself. I have photos of the food but I feel it’s unfair to put on here.

The food was underwhelming & the prices were higher than I'd expected. Soft drinks at nearly £4 per drink (and that was just lemonade) and though the landlady was pleasant, they weren't well staffed. Also the toilets were out of loo role.Kid-friendliness: The landlady was nice enough, but we didn't feel very welcomed. When I asked if they had highchair I was told "they're over there" I couldn't see one anywhere! It transpired that they were in the entrance porch, one we hadn't come in through & not visible from the room we were in.

We've visited the pass every two weeks for a friendly catch up with friends and without fail robyn has served us with a smile and been helpful when ordering food and needing to make changes as well as ensuring our orders are correct. Also amazing choices with choosing our shot flavours for us. Keep up the great work robyn, you work and customer service is well noted and well appreciated keep up the amazing work ??

Absolutely shocking come for a roast thay didn't have any thay messed up everything burnt over cooked between our orders we spent over 130 and was totally ripped of staff wher unhelpful didn't want to no once thay had our money things wher not brought out and it wasn't a case of them being busy as thay wher not our whole party wher very upset 4 adults and 4 children
