I enjoyed every minute of my stay and hope to come back very soon.(The breakfast is to die for!)Rooms: Nice room, felt like a home away from home. They kindly kept me caffeinated like it's nobody's business ?Safety: Safe location. As a female solo traveller, I could not have asked for a better place to stay!Walkability: Countryside. Bring some wellies and finish your walk with a lovely meal in the pub!Food & drinks: Fantastic, freshly prepped breakfast. Probably the best scrambled eggs I have ever had in a hotel!Noteworthy details: The entire team always has a smile on their face and are really keen to make your stay as homely, comfortable and great as possible.”

“A meal for the family to have a catch up resulted in us all going to The Eagle. The service was friendly and we received great advice on the choices. Beautifully presented . My only wish - that there was more choice for the vegans. Friendly and small areas to dine.”

“Had a quick beer tonight on the way home. Lovely atmosphere, warm welcome, clean and tidy, nice beer and good prices. Overall, would highly recommend it for a comfortable drink and a taste of a traditional English pub.”

“Sunday Lunch was absolutely delicious. This is such a lovely place with great staff who were there if you needed them, but not overbearing.I had the pork belly which was cooked perfectly and fell apart. The veg and all the trimmings were really tasty and cooked how I like them.This is the best roast I've had in a pub - EVER!!I will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu.Food & drinks: Delicious ?”

“Well we arrived and thought that with this many cars, the service might not be that good. Well, it seems the volume of cars shows that the food must be good. Service was great, nice little welcome and finishing touch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Pleasant surroundings and everyone seemed to be enjoying. Only 3 staff and they were clearly good at what they do. We had Brie and Garlic Mushrooms to start and these wee great. My wife had the special of Pork Fillet (and she isn't really a great pork eater) but she said it was fantastic I had ribeye steak, chunky chips and peppercorn source, the steak was absolutely spot in, you could taste the grill, which made it ?. For desert a French apple tart and cream, and lemon tart and lemon crunch ice cream. 2 pints and a half for under £90. Spot on! We certainly will be back”
