First time visit for us and loved it! We were going to just rock up but glad we booked as it got busy fairly quickly. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. We had the three roasts (beef, pork belly and turkey), chicken wings and pork belly roast. I loved the cauliflower cheese and the extra little jug of gravy (which was proper gravy with so much umami flavour) The meat for each roast was cooked perfectly. We plan to visit again so we can try more of the food.

Lovely quiet country pub off the beaten track. Great food at affordable prices. Was quiet on Tuesday lunchtime when we visited, food was served within 15 minutes of ordering. The host was friendly and helpful. Overall this is a great place to have lunch in pleasant countryside surroundings.

This is a great place if you are looking for a traditional, warm and cosy pub. Comes complete with 2 resident dogs! Staff always friendly, food is consistently decent.

Just had to say thank you to all the wonderful staff who served our Christmas Day lunch. It was perfect. Everything cooked perfectly and hot plates. Lovely atmosphere and friendly people to talk too. We could not believe how quick the time went, as a great idea to have time between courses, not thrown at you when you finish each course, or having to vacate the table to fit in the next sitting. Well done guys.

Lovely meal visited on the 6th November at lunchtime. Homemade chips were lovely and burger was one of the best I have had. The other 2 who were with me had gammon and said it was perfect. Would definitely recommend.

Just dropped in to get away from storm Ciaran. What a find! Lovey country pub with log burning stoves, good draught ales, a warm welcome. Stayed for a good lunch. And dog friendly to boot. Stanley met some new chums! Woof!

Right from booking our table, through to welcoming us to the pub/table, taking our orders and keeping us happy the staff and food were just superb. The staff were courteous, polite and helpful and the food was just divine. Beautifully cooked Belly of Pork and Turkey, accompanied by a selection of fresh vegetables, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, stuffing and a fluffy Yorkshire Pudding. Dessert was just as good - two of us had the Triple Chocolate Sundae and one had the Sticky Toffee Pudding. We did not find fault with anything. Pub and toilets are clean and all well laid out.

Nice to see an old fashion pub still as it was back in the day when so many are closing. We all need to support these pubs.Parking: Ample. Not too busy on the day visited. If not local may need map to find pub. Good signage by pub.Wheelchair accessibility: Looked OK. No steps I'm sure.

Heard good things on the grapevine, so decided to visit on chance. Pie of the week for me and 6oz steak for Madam. Both very good with quick and friendly service....at a reasonable price. We shall return

What a gem to find. We visited this pub after a lovely walk in the area and we were very pleasantly surprised. The exterior of the pub is gorgeous, with beautiful flowering baskets everywhere and a very well kept garden with plenty of seating. As the pub is off the road, its really peaceful, a great place to sit and relax with a drink and food. We visited with friends and each of us had a different main course. All the food was delicious and the burger was huge, clearly home made and very tasty. The service was attentive and friendly. This is our first time here and won't be our last. A really fabulous country pub ? ❤️
