Bar • “We've just had a meal for two here. Leek gratin and red dragon pate for starters - both absolutely delicious, proper liver pate, and succulent, subtly flavoured leeks. For main corned beef pie - proper pie, with pastry all round, not a stew with a lid as is so common - real childhood comfort food with crispy chips and veg done just right! And a swansea breakfast - never tried cockles (except pickled) or laverbread, but really impressed with both, seriously tasty. And very reasonable prices for this close to Oxford! Thoroughly recommended!”

“Fantastic community pub, with friendly staff. Sunday lunch was great and all freshly prepared to order. Good selection of meats and a variety of vegetables served with the meal. Recommended if you are looking for somewhere for lunch.”

“We initially went in so our puppy could be the first to try their new dog ice cream and we ended up staying for some dinner, off their new Summer menu. We were not disappointed. We and our pup went away very happy. Thank you everyone”

Bar • “Went out for Christmas day lunch, just for a change. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing and well cooked. Our servers, were Sam and Lauren, who where absolutely fantastic and even though they where busy with others they assisted our table with true professionalism and I hope beefeater gave there staff a good bonus”
