Visiting the area , random pick of pubs to have a meal, so pot luck even after looking at the reviews.Wow did I get a surprise one of the best fish and chips I've had in a very long time.Recommend a visit if you are in the area and in need of a good meal.
A good selection of meats and veg offered for the hearty Sunday lunch. Appreciated the homemade Yorkshire's, cauliflower cheese, crispy roast tats and enjoyed red cabbage, swede mash, carrots, beans and broccoli.

Popped in for a late Sunday lunch as we were passing. Luckily we just caught the kitchen open and had a lovely couple of roasts, beef and lamb, with loads of veg, all served by helpful and friendly staff.A nice pub with a couple of larger rooms at the back, but both still nice and cosy. Well worth giving a try if you're in the neighborhood.
