Had a lovely meal for my Fiancé's birthday tonight! Kati went above and beyond for us, even surprised us with a lovely 'happy birthday' brownie, a candle and a sing song! Will definitely be back ?

Came here for a birthday meal and the food was delicious. We didn't book but we're lucky to get a table as it was quite busy. The garlic mushrooms were devine! Really friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again.

I was really looking forward to going to this restaurant as booked for my working Christmas party.I was very disappointed with both the food and the service.4 of the Christmas dinners came out cold and was returned to the kitchen and later returned dry and piled up so high with no presentation. The steaks however came out lovely and everyone was pleased with them. The manger was very helpful and accommodating but by the end of the night it was ruined and to late in the evening to resolve the problemI would not be in a hurry to return.

We were very disappointed with how run down the decor was. The paint work really needed updating, I had a radiator next to me that had food stains on and was full of chipped paint. I was facing a wall that had a huge patch of flaking paint that looked like it had been caused by damp or something. Our table was dirty. There's a sign at the door to remind customers to dress smartly which is ironic with the state of the place! The prices are really high, my sirloin was £35, it was nice but If you're charging that much it's not acceptable to have such a run down restaurant. There was no toilet roll in the toilet and one member of staff was slumped over a desk. We had a lovely Waitrose but she wasn't able to do her job properly because she said she had been given all the party tables and was stretched thin. Felt like a cheep chain with gourmet prices!

To start with are host for the evening was the best experience ever could not do enough for us , the starter was pulled pork donut and a calamari in batter. The mains well The Butchers Block with all the trimmings and a fillet steak. And pudding the cookie pie.All cooked to miller and carter standards.

We had a really excellent meal my wife and l shared the chateaubriand which was cooked perfectly l had the beef dripping sauce my wife had the pepper sauce. We had a bottle of the Mercier Champagne a very pleasant wine at a very reasonable price. I must mention the staff all very helpful, especially our server Sherman a very bright, intelligent, interesting young man who led us through all our options.Parking: Free parking but does get very busy.

Charlie was our amazing waiter today, he was very professional, polite and quite helpful. He really made us feel quite relaxed and answered all our queries respectfully.

Wish I had taken photos. Went for office Christmas lunch and everyone who had the turkey (including me) was very disappointed. Turkey itself was fine. Gravy was separated so a 3mm oil layer on top with watery gravey under. Veg was not cooked right (can't explain, was undercooked in some and overcooked in others). Potatoes (which are usually my fave bit) were chewy...like they were reheated or something. The pig in blanket was very tasty but tiny and only one. Just felt it was super disappointing for £20 just for the food. Those who had the steak or burger had a much better meal.Don't like saying negative things but it was such a shame as there were a decent number of us and it just wasn't good.Staff were really pleasant and friendly but we sat down around 12:15 and first course didn't arrive for an hour and Main course about 45 mind after. We didn't leave until nearly 3:30. It surely shouldn't have been 3 hours long.

To you Esme, our Steak Expert! Your service was second to none. The visit was made a 5 star experience because of you and the fact the fillet steak was absolutely out of this world was a bonus - Thank you chef! We will return to you again Miller & Carter kidlington, keep the standards high.... keep ESME! Please would the manager reviewing this rating pass on our personal thanks to her for making it a phenomenal evening! Many thanks. Chris

First time at this restaurant and found the service was the best of all the miller and Carters that i have been in, the food was at a high level and the ambience and atmosphere was great. The staff need a pat on the back for their hard work.Well done ?

A great dinner! The food was delicious and the quality was great. We had the pulled pork donut for starters and it was nothing like what we’ve had before ?We were served by Angie who was super friendly & attentive. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave suggestions and opinions which we enjoyed! She made us feel relaxed and welcome and made jokes to / with us.

From the iceberg’s to our steaks, the crumble puds and cocktails, the quality was sublime. A proper treat of a celebration meal, more than we could have wished for. This included so much choice for the one of us who usually feels constrained by gluten free options, who this evening was overwhelmed by the choice.Topping all of this was Angie, who was able to dip in and out, matching her humour to ours whilst ensuring we were well catered for. We will certainly be requesting Angie to be our host, every time we return. Thank you Angie for making our special evening even more memorable. You deserve your own flag ?

As this visit was occasioned by a family get-together we were seated on a big table. Bottles of water were already on the table so there was no need to order it. After we'd got settled we were offered drinks and a little later our food orders were taken. The food plates arrived one after the other so we were able to start eating together. Our waitress also checked if we wanted more drinks but then we were left to enjoy our food without any hurry (the place is open from lunchtime until evening closing). We did have pudding too followed by hot drinks. We were there four hours. We chose the fixed price lunch menu for two courses though there was the option for three courses. Including a tip we paid £30 a head and thought we'd had good value.Vegetarian options: Though this is a steak house a few vegetarian option were available.
