Pubs • “At the time of our visit to this pub, access was across significant path and road works being undertaken immediately outside the entrance. We needed a late lunch and on arrival, the bar was empty, but we were apparently just in time to obtain some food. The bar and food area had a very "homely" atmosphere with old photographs of the locality on the walls. We ordered at the bar and confirmed that allergy requirements could met. We waited a while for the food, but when served, it was clear that it was freshly prepared and represented excellent value. Our experience would encourage us to visit again.”

Pubs • “What a lovely pub and a great find. Myself and a friend were enroute to a weekend event and stopped here for a quick drink. Then on the way back we stopped in the hope to grab dinner. However the kitchen had closed. But the landlord was amazing - he offered us some food regardless and prepped it before going on our merry way. Scampi and chips was order of the day and it was delicious. Will definitely return for more food. Setting was great and service exceptional.”

Pubs • “The staff were really friendly and helpful. Had a bit of a joke with them. The food , even though it was the end of carvery; was still hot. There was a choice still and they had brought fresh veg out. Also offered to make more gravy ( we didn't need it ).Will go again.We went to a private part here a couple of years ago ( wedding vows renewal after party). Was very nice then. Same great service and choice. Thanks team !”

“Worth the visit from central London - incredible food & service!We recently visited the restaurant via train and were amazed by how scenic/convenient the entire journey was from both central London and Bicester Village. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with the overall ambience and service far exceeding our expectations.We selected the tasting menu (with wine pairing) and really enjoyed the presentation of every single dish. We loved how there was a story behind each dish, with a unique combination of flavours!Eager to return during Christmas - I can’t even begin to imagine how beautiful the main dining room will look like given the high ceilings and decorative lights.”
