“We came here for a roast dinner and took the dog. It's a really cosy pub with a stove fire place and very friendly resident dog. The food was very tasty and came quickly. I had the vegetarian roast. Staff were attentive and helpful. Can't fault the place. This is our little meeting spot as a family so we'll definitely be popping in again.”

“We've just had a meal for two here. Leek gratin and red dragon pate for starters - both absolutely delicious, proper liver pate, and succulent, subtly flavoured leeks. For main corned beef pie - proper pie, with pastry all round, not a stew with a lid as is so common - real childhood comfort food with crispy chips and veg done just right! And a swansea breakfast - never tried cockles (except pickled) or laverbread, but really impressed with both, seriously tasty. And very reasonable prices for this close to Oxford! Thoroughly recommended!”
