“Beautiful and welcoming traditional country pub. Unlike nearby competitors the Blue Boar doesn’t have pretensions of being a high end gastro pub – it serves classic pub food at reasonable prices. But its always freshly cooked and the ingredients are good, so we’ve always come away feeling like we’ve had a good value meal. It’s a nice place to take a kid at lunchtime as there is a climbing frame in the garden. There is usually at least one ale on tap, and the Loose Cannon is particularly good.”
