The pub does food on the weekend and is a friendly local during the week. Allows dogs. To get a wheelchair through the door is a bit of a faff but I have quite a wide one and it will go. You won't be able to get a Mid wheel drive chair in this pub. But if the weather is good you can use the side gate to use the garden. However, getting to the loo would be an issue. Unusual review to follow,but thought I’d post a review to assist anyone thinking of The Waggon as a venue for a funeral wake/celebration of life or any other type of function. Sadly I’ve been here twice over the last year to attend two funeral wakes/celebration of life functions. The venue is perfect as they have a large room that can be adapted perfectly. A nicely layer out pub with plenty of seating inside and out. Staff are polite and friendly. The customers are a good mix of young and old. The drinks list is varied and the food excellent. There is a large car park put also a short walk to bus stop on main S6 bus route. We travelled there on S6 and had a pleasant evening with a great meal. Well worth the 15 minutes bus journey we took. Will definitely visit again.
