Beautiful and welcoming traditional country pub. Unlike nearby competitors the Blue Boar doesn’t have pretensions of being a high end gastro pub – it serves classic pub food at reasonable prices. But its always freshly cooked and the ingredients are good, so we’ve always come away feeling like we’ve had a good value meal. Popped in to have a bite to eat and a quick drink with a friend during our walk around the village and churchyard. Arrived there a few minutes to opening time. The lady behind the bar was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous. We had the fish fingers with tartar sauce on a baguette. Will definitely go there again.

Beautiful village pub. First time visiting and the service was lovely, peaceful and friendly. The food was very tasty, great portion sizes and quality was lovely, first time my son ate all of his food (he’s very fussy) great value for money and will absolutely be visiting again. Such a peaceful location and super friendly! If your thinking of going you absolutely must you will not be disappointed.
