Best ice-cream I had in England for a long time! Very nice flavours. Pistachio, Amarena and Salted caramel were amazing! The only small critique is that the salted caramel ice-cream texture was on the soft side, the other two were of perfect consistency:)

Very disappointing service. No coffee available and hot chocolate served in a plastic cup because they were closing in 20 minutes time. Under duress hot chocolate was poured into ceramic mug, spilling most on counter and all over mug. Felt a very valued customer! Gave 1 star because no other option if want to post a review.

Incorrect opening hours on Google. Was shut.

I’m vegetarian, I ordered a bagel with cream cheese but the person making my bagel kept the same gloves on that they used to make a previous bagel where they touched chicken and ham, cross contamination. It put me off the bagel I think the policy for this should be changed.
In a market where ice cream parlours in Oxford have had prices inflated by airport departure lounge decor and overly complex menus G&D is here to restore sanity and quality. Here the ice cream, waffles and bagels are the stars and damn tasty they are too. It's reassuring to see another generation of students populating the shop, carrying on the tradition. G&D's is as Oxford as the shark and as beloved.

I have been here several times, loved it, but this time the service is extremely terrible. They gave us the melted part of ice cream, there is regular, solid ice cream in the box, but the staff she gave us melted one on purpose. I then kindly asked her to change, but she said “it’s still fine” with a very arrogant tone and refused to change the scoop. We then tasted it, it’s literally milkshake, not ice cream! So I went back to an Asian staff who is quite nice and gave us another scoop. Here are some pictures, we also waited to ask for a cup when the ice cream literally melted all over our hand! And even on the floor, that’s not ice cream to me.Very disappointing!

Interesting flavours, got the mint(which isn't green) and the white gold I think it's called which has cookie dough. I liked it, would recommend
