The location and service were good. However, the mushroom stroganoff was poor and my wife left most of it. When I got the bill I found that I had been charge £6. 80 for 2 cokes that cost 50p each in the shops. I won't be going back.

Wonderful surroundings and helpful staff. Food was expensive and disappointing very little taste needed more flavouring.

The restaurant is bright and airy with views of sunny roofs. The menu is short but offers vegetarian, fish and meat options. The food is delicious and well presented. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was an excellent spot for old friends to catch up with one another.

Lovely cafe and brilliant staff, would recommend! There was a wide variety of cakes and pastries, with vegan options, and the coffee was exceptionally nice. Vegan milks do not cost extra which is fantastic and they had a wide selection. The highlight of my visit was the staff: in particular a lovely lady with the surname Jimenez (I can't remember her first name) who was smiling, kind and very willing to help. The only suggestion I would make is that if there were ingredient lists/allergen lists next to the cakes, as the nutty brownie looked nice but I have a peanut allergy and was unsure what nuts were inside. Thank you!Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan options

I'd suggest budgeting £30 a head, without alcoholic drink but including tea or soft drink, for a light 2-course lunch. You can sit inside or, on nice days, on the terrace - the tables have large parasols to protect from a shower. From the rooftop, you have views over Oxford's dreaming spires. Service is attentive, just as well as a 10% service charge is automatically added to the bill. The food is nice, however my cheesecake could well have done with another hour defrosting. If you want to see and be seen, then this is a place to go in Oxford.

Dining alone as a woman can be hard at times, the staff here made me feel so comfortable. They were friendly and efficient without being overbearing. The food was delicious, I had the pappardelle ragu, it was tender and full of flavour and served very quickly. The terrace was beautiful in the sunshine. Would highly recommend!

amazing customer service. Probably the best one I’ve had for a long time. My family and I were served and attended with efficiency and with the biggest smiles from the staff. Will definitely suggest for friends and other family members to go there.

I wanted to take a friend for coffee here as the views are quite nice and there’s a terrace in good weather. Firstly there were two other people there so it was empty when we arrived. The waiter seemed reluctant to seat us and made a big fuss about how things can change and then decided for us where we could sit. Secondly I’ve never had such a bad flat white coffee since they were invented. It was mostly milk and since it should have been a double shot of coffee was clearly saving themselves money. I wouldn’t go back as the staff are poorly trained and not welcoming. I’d rather go to Costa coffee shops which never disappoint. I’m not a tourist but live locally so I feel sorry for tourists who go there, The food I saw looked equally uninspiring and small portions. Rip of Britain!

We arrived for just a light lunch on a hot summers day and found that we could only really have two starters with coffee which turned out surprisingly expensive . Not much selection .

Fantastic location but appalling service. Ordered bottle of rose which was barely chilled with 2 sharing plates. Inside was empty and not full outside BUT everything took ages to appear. We had to go inside to find someone to give us some sideplates and napkins. We ordered 2 espressos and after a very long time 1 was plonked on the table. We waited and waited then went inside to ask for the 2nd. Meanwhile I went to settle the bill. Then after drinking my coffee all 5 of us went to leave. We were then ambushed by staff, which was startling. 1 because they were difficult to find earlier and 2 they were demanding payment for the 2nd espresso! I was so embarrassed, in front if my friends, I just paid to get out of there! Otherwise I have asked for a manager... This was a Tuesday afternoon not a busy weekend so be aware. Can't fault the location but overall experience was dreadful.

First impression, lovely, light spacious restaurant. Then we were welcomed with a surly "have you booked?" We had booked for the terrace but unfortunately rain meant that we couldn't dine outside and that wouldn't have been a problem, had the service been a little better. We were served our starters but no drinks. We waited a while, a long while. Couldn't seem to catch the eye of any waiting staff so my friend went to ask the not so welcoming manageress about our drinks. To be fair I think the staff in general were doing their best. The manageress was very dismissive and it took a while longer for the drinks to arrive by which time we'd well and truly finished our starters. The food was tasty and no grumbles other than that there wasn't enough bread for the dips. We asked if we could have some more and they provided an extra pitta which we were charged £3.50 for. There was very little atmosphere though perhaps that was down to the weather. If I were in Oxford again and it was a sunny day I might give it another try and hope that service had improved .

It’s a nice location up on the roof of the museum. Lots of glazing so you can feel you’re outside when your not. Food was reasonable as was the service. Improve both of these and it will be fantastic.
