Delicious 3 course meal - every dish was delicately flavoured, just overall unbelievably good food and wonderful service by our very attentive and friendly host. A wonderful evening from start to finish - we’ll be back!

Popped in for Sunday snacks. Garden Menu was excellent. A super, friendly establishment, with very welcoming staff. Ben was especially pleasant to talk with. Ladies toilets were spotless with lots of added extras. Will definitely be back to sample a Sunday lunch

A wonderful evening meal, faultless food and service. A romantic atmosphere in a beautiful period building. Korean chicken, hake and rib-eye all delicious and while not cheap, worth the expense for the quality. A couple of real ales and impressive wine list. First class all round.

Serving high quality food, this beautiful old building is still a proper pub, with an attractive garden, outdoor seating and an excellent choice of drinks. Service was efficient and very friendly. My orzo dish was particularly delicious. All in all, a delightful place.

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with our first Sunday roast here. Firstly, our welcome was first class and not for a long time have I felt so well looked after/comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. And also, as a pescatarian it’s really refreshing to have a fish roast on the menu as usually I have to resort to yet another uninspiring cheesy, puff pastry offering. The monk fish tail was outstanding and my fellow diners pork/beef roasts looked generous and delicious! Thank you for looking after us so well and we will definitely be back soon!

We went as a family and couldn't have been treated any better. The welcome was warm, the ale was well kept and the food prepared with care and skill. In many premises, the quality of kids' food is allowed to slip, but not here. I know because I had the privilege of mopping up the scraps! And my steak... perfect. The Lamb Inn should be proud and we will be back as soon as possible. A joy.
Sublime sunday roast and great service; we will be back!
