We recently visited the Hungry Horse pub nestled in a Witney local estate, and to my surprise, its unassuming exterior belies the cozy and welcoming atmosphere inside. While the outside might not scream sophistication, the interior proves that looks can be deceiving. The pub's charm lies in its simplicity, creating a down-to-earth ambiance that feels like a comfortable extension of the community. The staff were friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. What truly impressed us was the affordability of their menu. Despite the budget-friendly prices, the food quality exceeded my expectations. From hearty pub classics to more adventurous options.Whether you're looking for a casual lunch or a family dinner, the Hungry Horse pub on this estate offers a wallet-friendly option without compromising on taste. It's a perfect spot for those seeking a relaxed atmosphere and delicious, no-frills food.

I booked here for me and my son after the horrible year we have had having to relocate and start again. And the manager was so supportive the staff was lovely they actually ended up paying for our meal and giving us the deposit back. 100% recommend to go here food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Will definitely be returning. He made our xmas. 10/10.

Basic food in a basic environment. Nothing bad at all and the staff is great but the quality of food let the place down.

Not enough staff behind bar, waited over 10mins to just order food. Had cheeseburger and chips, chips were cold and onion rings chewy not crispy. Friend had roast beef dinner, beef too tough to cut and chew . At least two other tables complained about their food. Locals not staff were clearing and wiping down tables. Waitress came over and asked if everything was OK and walked off before we had chance to answer. Not a pleasant meal or atmosphere as staff were stomping around , slaming doors because of complaints and obviously talking with each other about complaining customers.

Enjoyed a lovely family meal here. Service was great from Amy, food was excellent, Tracy and Ed in the kitchen never disappoint with their food.
