Looks nice, but has to be the most overpriced, disorganised (both the restaurant AND the garden centre itself) operation I've ever seen... and it's only small.Teething issues perhaps?Stopped off passing through for tea and scones.. wasn't too bad until we noticed the tea had odd black flakes in it that were not tea leaves (scale from a poorly cleaned teapot?) reported it, was offered another tea but we declined. To be honest the place has potential, if they can find someone who isn't in a panic when a small queue develops at the door.Get your systems and processes in order, don't tell people to come in or out like an old schoolmaster and for pity's sake clean your tea pots people!

Absolutely dreadful customer service. The manager with his clip board has no idea how to treat people. Very rude and very unwelcoming. We were given an electronic buzzer and told to go walk round until our table was ready. 15 mins he said, off we went and had not even put a foot around the gift shop and the buzzer went off. We had half an hour wait for drinks and apparently they cannot change a Bap for sourdough as they were too busy. Not sure how that is so difficult. Another hour and we got our food. Breakfast itself was great. Service is absolutely dreadful, they staff spend their time walking around doing nothing except getting in there daily steps. Not one member of staff had a smile or made you feel welcome everything seemed to be far too much trouble. Another coffee ordered it took another 15 minutes. The scone then took another 15 minutes. This place needs a serious staff shake up from the top to the bottom. And get rid of the seriously unfriendly manager on the door. Lovely setting, good food BUT absolutely disgraceful staff.

More Garden Centre than Nursery. Quite large with plenty of parking. Pricy compared to what we're used to paying.

on entering the shop looked very nice, clean, well laid out, toilets and all were spotless, unfortunately, we decided to try the restaurant, as we went to go in, there was a couple infront of us stopped in the doorway to talk to the waiter for a table, so we waited in the doorway, only to be barked at loudly by the waiter to either come in or shut the door. very rude and very embarrassing, no surprise to say, we turned and left and wont be returning and certainly will be reccomending people to avoid going there, unless they want to be spoken to like naughty children.

Really good garden centre with huge stock and very reasonable prices. Nice tearoom and good service.

If you were to site a garden centre in a beautiful setting in Rutland, then it would be overlooking Rutland water(which this is),so this place has a head start, but there is much more to a garden centre than just fantastic views, having said all of that I shall watch this place with great interest,it obviously has great potential,it is very close to another very fine garden in Rutland, but I think it has some way to go yet.

I wanted a special gift of a house plant for my daughter on her birthday. Rutland Nursery were absolutely brilliant, the beautiful Monstera was delivered by Ben on my daughter's birthday. Thank you so much for your exceptional service.

Staff have terrible attitude and the Manager in the cafe/restaurant is so rude. We’ve been here twice now and should’ve realised after the first visit that it wasn’t a good idea to go back! Lots of empty tables, and none waiting to be cleared in the Cafe and nobody queuing or waiting and yet the manager told us we would have to wait 45 minutes as lots waiting to be seated! He obviously didn’t want to be busy and puts everyone off being seated. We won’t be going back again for a third attempt!! For a so called “dog friendly “ Nursery there are signs up saying dogs not allowed in here.If anyone wants to experience a good garden nursery service then please visit. Frosts garden centre where dogs AND people are allowed and catered for anywhere! Don’t ruin a day out by going to Rutland Nursery at Manton as they are without doubt THE WORST place ever

Only stayed for hot chocolate at The View, however it was fabulous! There's also a well stocked shop & many tunnels/greenhouses full of good stuff!

Beautiful, airy and light restaurant (called the view because it has a view of the lake, I guess) with good quality well cooked food and friendly staff. We were there for Sunday breakfast which was excellent.Adjacent is an upmarket shop with lots of interesting things to buy, but mainly to look at maybe. I’m afraid we didn’t really look at the plants and so forth, which is really what a nursery is for I suppose. But one last thing, my wife commented that it is the nicest carpark in the world. Okay, she is prone to exaggeration perhaps, but it IS very nice, lots of space, well laid out, with charger points, and altogether very user friendly.I think we are going to be regulars here.

Unexpected stop, busy but we were accommodated just in time for breakfast. Beautiful surroundings and the interior is very classy. Loved the avocado, poached egg with smoked salmon. Tastefully presented. Great coffee. CM see why it's so popular
