We came to the grainstore on the off chance before the train and we were served by a wonderful guy called Ben, he took the time to talk us through all the beers and recommended the best things on the menu. He provided 5 star service and really made our experience. We will 100% use the grainstore again

Weve had breakfast, Sunday lunch & evening meal here, all fantastic. Add to that the wonderful choice of beers & lagers. Well worth a visit.

The Grainstore affirmed my Rutland devotion. Eternal gratitude to Lucy and the beasts of Rutland

We had an excellent meal here yesterday. A few of us had been before for drinks and a roast which is always amazing. The food was great and the service was amazing. There were 16 of us, so the chef and staff did so well to get everything sorted for us so efficiently. Thanks for making my 40th birthday meal with my family so memorable. We will all be back! ?

You can’t go wrong with the Grainstore for a pint in or out. Guinness is good and staff friendly. You can take your dog and the kids so really nothing to complain about at all!

It's the best pub I've ever been to. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I can take my dogs there, and it's warm with fantastic food. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great beer and music festival. Really enjoyed the weekend. Met some lovely friendly people. The people of Oakham made our holiday a happy and relaxing experience. Thank you Linda and Richard from South Wales

Excellent, characterful beers brewed right here on the premises. Walked in at midday to find them loading the sacks of hops (?) on to a hoist and winching them up through a trap door in the ceiling. Sort of beery dumb waiter. Now where else would you find these shenanigans going on? Worth a full 5*s for this class act alone!!

Dog friendly. Human friendly. Honest well priced pub grub. Decent beer. What more do you want? !!
Really not worth the money. Cauliflower cheese was mush, pork quite fatty and gristly overall not very hot. £14.95 would expect a higher standard.

We were staying in Oakham and decided to go to the Grainstore for dinner. We were expecting a good selection of beers and ciders and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We had nachos and squid to start with and then my husband went for the rack of ribs and I had the lamb shoulder both of which were great. Be careful as some of the portions are big! It is a very relaxed place to eat but the service was good.

I only visited to kill time whilst waiting for a train, I'm so glad that I did, I never drink alcohol during the day but so glad I did, I've got to say it was the best beer that I've ever had. The ambience in the pub was great full of joviality.
