Had lunch with my wife and was very impressed with the quality of food. Tasty and good value. Nice location. Will be back for sure and have already recommended to friends.

Absolutely fabulous. Our original accommodation fell through and I booked online 20 minutes before we turned up. The lovely lady was printing out our information and taking us to our room as soon as we got there. Not missing a beat. The room was made up as if they were expecting us and clean as a whistle. Lovely towels and a big comfy bed. We slept well, had a lovely dinner and morning breakfast. Would recommend to anyone.

We meet our friends for a Sunday lunch several times a year - it’s a good half way point for us all, we’ve tried other local gastro pubs and nowhere is as good at The Kings Arms. Had lunch here yesterday and it’s fabulous. Easy to book, loads of space to park on site, cosy atmosphere, friendly and very efficient staff and a super roast lunch. Perfect.

We’ve just had a lovely overnight stay at this gastro pub. Check in was seamless and self service. We stayed in granary suite which is really roomy and comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant and oh my word, the food is outstanding. We both had Jimmys Parma style ham to start which was served with a crostini, poached pear, baron bigood cheese, onion relish and Parma stud ham. For mains we had fallow dear and Hereford duo of beef and we shared the double chocolate mousse for pudding. Prices for the standard of good are good but the prices for the great quality wines even better. Many similar places would hike the wine prices up to match the food but huge respect for them not following suit. Service was wonderful, the whole team are just lovely

Cosy, friendly atmosphere. No nonsense food, well cooked and presented with very generous portions. An excellent lunch all round, thank you.

The beer and food were nice, although the food is quite expensive. Would recommend checking out the menu before visiting. There were plenty of available tables for dining when we visited. The pub soon filled up with locals out for an evening drink.

Absolutely fantastic food, really delicious. Great staff - nothing is too much trouble and always well looked after. Ok the pricey side but it’s worth it for the quality of food.

Rocked up for a late lunch just as chef was going to close the kitchen because it was so quiet. With no hesitation, they kept it open for us. This is customer service at its best. Great meal and good value. Highly recommended.

Spent 4 nights here. Nice place if you are wanting to visit Oakham. Not very good for working people I'd say. The restaurant is only open at 6pm on weekdays so the only way you can eat in the day is using Just Eat/Uber eats. Which in itself is very limited in this area.We had to self check in because no one is here most of the time, the staff are okay although there is one lady who is not so friendly. It is not very easy to talk to someone who works here. There is nothing really around here unless you have access to a car. Then you can go see the water I guess. Not too far from the center of Oakham but there is no Uber here just local Taxi's. Impossible to get one after 10pm.Rooms are nice and they get serviced everyday. They have tea, coffee and biscuits at least. However, my colleague found spiders in her bed! So check your sheets if you are going on the first night!!Rooms: OkayNearby activities: None if you do not have access to a carSafety: Spiders in the bedWalkability: Literally no foot pathsFood & drinks: Nothing around before 6pmNoteworthy details: Would never choose to come here again

The rooms are lovely and homily and very reasonably priced. The service is incredible. They were so accommodating when we needed to move our booking around. The food in the restaurant is exceptional, but maybe not to everyone's taste, so I suggest checking the menu before you book. Overall outstanding.

Chose to stay at The Kings Arms as split distance between our family for birthday.Lovely little sleepy village and the pub itself is quaint and cosy. The menu is full of local produce and game which is well cooked and presented. (The home made brown sauce is a must for breakfast!)All the staff were very friendly with good service and attention to detail. The only reason the room stored 4 is that the shower wasn't brilliant.
