A great discovery. This is the best cafe in Uppingham. We sat upstairs and enjoyed the sofas while eating our quiche and wrap. Great quality. Excellent properly human service.

The restaurant is lovely inside. A sort of modern/traditional mix. There is a long bar with bar stools where you can sit and have drinks and tapas if wanted. the service was excellent and the food very good - special enough to be a treat without being a pretentious cube and a smear !! we had a couple of tapas to share to start and the leeks in tempura batter were delicious. The olives were amazing. My starter of battered squid and main of slow roast beef were both very good. Everyone enjoyed their food. Well presented but a decent helping.

Fortune Corner

Very nice Chinese takeaway. Not your traditional chippy. Small counter in the corner where food is brought out, no fries or warming cabinets. Food was excellent. Easily missed from the outside. Doesn't look like a take away and tucked right in the corner of the square.

I rang on Friday to book a table for today as we have been many times and always find it faultless so wanted to take some special friends who have never been before. I spoke to a lovely lady on the phone called Jess. We went this morning and Jess greeted us and so was lovely, she even remembered me booking the table as it was her I spoke to on the phone. The breakfast was lovely and served quickly, great quality ingredients, a great price too. Jess amazing service and the delicious breakfast is perfect. If only the garden centre till staff were as friendly and nice as the cafe staff: Thank you Jess xx

Delicious set 'Feast' menu at this Uppingham institution. Plentiful food and great flavours. We particularly enjoyed the chicken and sweetcorn soup and the crispy duck with pancakes!

Our third pub of the day and quick service in a nice clean pub, friendly atmosphere and sat outside, a nice pint of 'PEDIGREE', good people and had a chat with the 2 men on the next table who told us how to get yo a pub of the main road, a good pub.

Wow what a difference to what I get in Northampton. On holiday and just eat tandoori mixed grill and it was amazing and so was the rest of my order. Hannans 10 out of 10 well done.

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Please note that no alcohol is sold but you may bring your own. Also note that it is cash only, no credit cards accepted. Huge range of dishes on the menu. Our chosen dishes were authentic Indian meals not adapted to European tastes. The pork and chicken was beautifully tender and delicious. It was odd that on one side we had a well behaved mature hen party (with alcohol) and behind us was a group of students from the famous Uppingham public school equally well behaved.

I’m not really obsessive about coffee, but I called in for a latte a few weeks back and I’ve been craving another like it ever since! Perfect temperature, had a really robust taste and loved the foam art too. Will definitely be back!
