Stay quite regularly at the Altens hotel. Myself and my fiance love the pool! And the breakfasts are the best I've had in any hotel ever, it's a buffet style and there's everything you could want for breakfast. SO good! My only slight niggle is the pool area, I mean it's great to have a pool but it gets VERY busy with kids. Would be great to maybe have an adults only swim available, perhaps late in the evening? or possibly a section cordoned off so people can have a proper swim?...read full review
The entrance to the hotel is large and accessible with no steps.Two elevators are provided as well as stairs to access other floors.The room itself was spacious and warm with a thermometer to control the temperature within the room.The beds were comfortable enough, unfortunately there was a lot of noise thought the night, found it difficult to sleep due to noisy fans.The breakfast was very good. Hotel very close to the center of Aberdeen and with attached parking (for a fee). The spa area includes a swimming pool, hydromassage, sauna and Turkish bath, all clean and well maintained. There is also a large gym available. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet is very rich with various pastries, English breakfast, fruit, juices, hot drinks and yogurt with cereals. Standard rooms.
