A fantastic little coffee shop and perfect place for lunch. My favourite café in Aboyne. I'd highly recommend At The Sign of the Blackface Sheep's hot chocolate and their vegan carrot cake. Their vegan/vegetarian bruschetta's are lovely too. Lots of great menu choices for lunches. Things do cost a little more than some other places, but in my opinion, it's worth it as a treat!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options and some vegan options including a delicious tomato or roasted veg bruschetta, and my favourite vegan carrot cake.

This cafe was recommended to us by our host at the Furain Guesthouse and we're so glad it was. The food was fresh and delicious and the cakes are so nice. We had the chocolate almond cake and the carrot cake and both were delicious. They also have a shop at the front with some bespoke homeware which was really nice.Would definitely recommend if passing through Aboyne.

Only had cake & coffee but both were delish. Service was excellent - friendly, cherry, helpful. Convinced me of the cake I needed ?. How do you rate atmosphere? It was unflustered & relaxing which was what I needed after an explore by bike.

Long standing local supported cafe. The soup/sandwich combo, home made and delicious. Alan has wonderful support with his team. Little gem to be savoured!

I can´t believe that there are only 27 reviews! The coffee shop has been a must see for tourists and locals for what feels like a life time. It´s a great place to visit.

It’s been just over 14 years since we moved to Australia and left the Aboyne area. Yesterday we called in for lunch and cake. We have been hanging out for this visit since we left all those years ago. It didn’t disappoint. Thanks for the warm welcome, hope it’s not too long before we return.

Memorable food! Some of the best I have ever had. We are there often when my parents lived in Scotland and the food was so amazing! I’d recommend the vegetable bruschetta, followed by almond cake and a coffee❤️

Great place. Excellent chocolate orange and rum cake… dare I say the one of the best cakes I’ve ever had.. and I’ve eaten a lot of cake in my life!

Our second visit. Though the last one was possibly 10 tears ago. Still a great place for lunch or a naughty cake. Catered for GF and dog friendly. Also great fun looking round the unusual selection of things for sale.
