Restaurants in Aboyne
Douneside House & Health Club
Tarland, AboyneOur stay was simply fantastic.Beyond the setting, the rooms, the restaurant which were calm, chic, cozy, comfy, well located, etc., etc., what made our stay so perfect were the people on siteThe Dounside team is incredibly kind. The entire team is extremely attentive and is keen to respond to our requests sincerely. For example, dietary constraints (gluten free or no carb) were taken into account with immense kindness and desire to do well. All the dishes have been reinvented by the kitchen team, from bread to dessert. Thanks to Léon (especially for this non-alcoholic cocktail invented around Elderberry). Thanks to Calum for his kindness and humor. Thanks to James for his love of wine which he communicates wonderfully (including in perfect French). We hope to be able to return one day to this little paradise in the Cairngorms.

At The Sign Of The Blackface Sheep
1 Ballater Rd, AboyneA fantastic little coffee shop and perfect place for lunch. My favourite café in Aboyne. I'd highly recommend At The Sign of the Blackface Sheep's hot chocolate and their vegan carrot cake. Their vegan/vegetarian bruschetta's are lovely too. Lots of great menu choices for lunches. Things do cost a little more than some other places, but in my opinion, it's worth it as a treat!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options and some vegan options including a delicious tomato or roasted veg bruschetta, and my favourite vegan carrot cake.

Loch Kinord Hotel & Restaurant
Ballater Rd, Dinnet, AboyneA grand Scottish Hotel on the Deeside Road. Very popular with overseas tourists. We had a large, well furnished room & a great bathroom with a gorgeous jacuzzi bath. Breakfasts & dinners we're excellent alough the dining room closed for 1 night. Experienced & efficient staff plus a friendly manager. It's well placed for a good driving tour of the area. There's a path in the woods opposite for walking or mountain biking. Would happily stay again.Rooms: Lovely big room with 4 poster bed, large bathroom with jacuzzi bath, separate showerWalkability: Woods opposite have a walking & mountain biking path.
