Food was wonderful, and the service was great. My order was the chicken achari and it was delicious also, the waiter was very nice too.

We had a superb meal on a quiet Friday night, but the service was friendly, approachable and cheerful. The meal itself was great , easpecially the Uttar Pradesh Masala and the lovely wedding dish - Dulhani Bhoona.

Vegetarian options: I asked for vegetable in a Chasni sauce and got a dish full of Co OP frozen veg in a disgusting mess.... don't know what it was but it certainly wasn't Chasni. Absolutely inedible!

Walked past here the other day and saw the menu looked really good with some great veggie options so thought we would check it out. Was not disappointed. Everything was cooked perfectly and my paneer dish was absolutely delicious. Very friendly atmosphere and great food, would highly recommend.

I must have been to a different restaurant than the rest of the reviewers as our meal was awful, with my dish inedible! What was supposed to be vegetable Chasni was actually a carton of frozen veg slipped in an inedible sauce. Perhaps the. chef was sick and they had to pop out to our local Co Operative for a bag of frozen veg? Popadoms came with an almost lime green sauce which had only ever seen the inside of a processed bottle. Real mint and yogurt had certainly never touched it. My husband's chicken tikka masala was very red and very sweet! Our peshwari nann was also very poor. In short, I will never get a take away from Nurtaj, and warn others to beware.

Great menu with a mix of traditional and interesting new dishes.We stayed locally on holiday and went twice in the same week as the food was so good!Lovely service too, would recommend!

The mix of ginger tamarind and lime was really great. ? the host was very kind and warm and very knowledgeable about the dishes.The interior had some great wall murals all very clean and well kept.Wish we could come again!Parking: Free parking right outside on the small car park by the village green

Visiting a local campsite for the night and decided to have a takeaway from here. One of the best Indian takeaways we have had, if not the best Indian food. Everything we ordered was delicious! Ordered online and was kept up to date when they’d received the order and time to collect. Food was absolutely outstanding and would highly recommend if visiting the area.

It's the first time I've been here for a while and under new ownership. I was shocked they had run out of popadums which is unheard of and no keena nan left either. I was also surprised just how expensive it was which may explain why it was almost empty. My food was okay but ive had better at half the price.
