Popped into the Compass Cafe for a bacon roll and coffee and it was absolutely 100%. Very friendly welcome and staff were helpful and cheery. Food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Went for lunch, could see it was busy but approached by the waitress and just told no, no tables. Not even an estimate of how long. Very poor service which seems to have gone down hill since our last visit

Disgusting service. Staff were rude. I feel this may have been to do with my disabled brother but hope not. Do not eat of drink here.

I recently had some allergy tests done which left me feeling quite deflated, like I’d not be able to go out and eat again so that I wouldn’t trouble chefs or servers. However, we were travelling through Perth to a trail centre and needed some food on the way. We saw this place on the map and decided to give it a try, so that we could get some bits we needed from the outdoor shop beneath it. And I’m SO glad we did. The staff were absolutely amazing with me and my allergies and managed to make me a substantial meal that wouldn’t make me ill and didn’t make me feel like I wasn’t cared about. The presentation of the dish was lovely, as was the portion size and overall quality was 5 stars. We will definitely be returning if we are going through Perth again! ❤️Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and veggie options, vegan options for coffee. I told them my allergies and they were very very helpful and I had a meal I enjoyed.

We went here for breakfast and quite frankly we won’t go back. The lady who I think was in charge today made various sarcastic comments about our dog who is still quite young. We were shown to a table out of the way as she said you’ve got a dog. Fair enough. At one point she came to the table and he sat up and put a paw on the table and she said “training’s going well” . Another time when she appeared he sensed someone was at the table and he came out from lying down under the table and briefly hopped onto the bench seat beside my daughter. We immediately told him to get off which he did. A comment was made of “oh do you do that home?” We were always quick to correct him and he wasn’t a nuisance. He was quiet and friendly and other customers came over to pat him. Another comment she made was “he’s cute really, even though…” We don’t allow our dog to put paws on the table at home and we take him to dog training where he’s actually doing ok. We just felt unwelcome here from the start. The cafe advertises as dog friendly as they say they’re part of the family but this staff member obviously would rather dogs weren’t there. I left a small tip as I always do but I really shouldn’t have. We’ll stick to The Tickled Trout who really do welcome dogs.
