Brilliant place, the food the ambiance, the surroundings and especially the staff are just brilliant. It's doggy friendly and all the serving staff have wee treats in their pockets for our furry friends.

The Pitcairngreen Inn

Six of us met here to catch up with old times. The village green surroundings were attractive. The room we were in was rather dark and dingy. The table had been placed along a wall with a large decorative metal hoop (see photo) 2 inches behind my head. It fell off the wall and struck my head painfully , leaving a graze. Little concern was shown and no apology offered. The food was ok. Id Katsura chicken with home made chips. A butterflied breast deep fried in breadcrumbs, with curry sauce on top. Others reported their food was ok but not outstanding. The batter on a fried fish was alarmingly pale but the fish inside was cooked.The beer was good as was the ice cream for afters.

this is a lovely astablishment and i so recommend it. there is this cute waitress that is so lovely and sweet she has red hair and wears nike shoes in black. overall i rate this place a 9/10 it is lovely and i recommend it. the service is
