This a proper old fashioned ( in a good way ) traditional Scottish fish and chip shop. It’s the best fish supper I have had in decades. The batter was crispy and the fish excellent. The chips were great . There was a queue but it moved quickly. We had been going to eat by the side of the river but the food was so hot we managed to get back to our accommodation without it cooling down.
I've used this chip shop a few times now and the quality of the food has been consistent and excellent. Being able to phone ahead with an order has been useful to save having to queue inside for too long - but long enough to read all the many awards hanging from the wall. The menu is extensive and the fish is great, although my favourite is the haggis supper. All food seems to be cooked mostly to order.

Delicious fish and chips. Always a good sign when a local chippy is busy, but well worth the wait. Great selection of other traditional chip shop food, but the haddock was excellent.
