Had a brilliant meal in The Boars Head last night. The food was amazing. I started with the steak tartar something I have never tried before but would certainly have again. This was followed by the beef, cooked to perfection, served with a potato terrine that I just loved and a big crunchy onion ring. Pudding was the custard tart that was a great finish to the meal. We have been to the Boar’s Head half a dozen times post-Covid and they continue to get better on every visit. When we first visited the dishes were good, but now the meals there are excellent. Most recently we went for Sunday roast, and we had the pork belly. It was delicious! Great to have such excellent food (almost) on my doorstep. Have been 3 times so far. As a carnivore, I thoroughly enjoyed the vegan option on my first visit! Dog friendly is a bonus, though we've only taken them once. First choice for any special meal out.
