Bars in Aviemore

“Stayed here for a couple of nights and what a lovely welcome we received. The lady on reception was very friendly and all the staff we interacted with pleasant.
It was a great place to be based to explore the Aviemore, which is an easy walk into the village and Cairngorm, which is easy to get to on the local bus.
We had a pitched that allowed us to have our van and awning up using heavy duty pegs.
The toilets & showers are clean and there are facilities indoors for washing dishes as well as washing machines and tumble dryer.
Will be back.”

“Ideal spot inside the Cairngorms with Loch Morlich a few meters away and the Aviemore adventurer bus stop around the corner.

We rented the Treehouse which was lovely! you can see the tree inside! Haha
All you need inside the treehouse (kitchen, bedding etc)

The bar was great too, very chill atmosphere and great food/drinks!
If the weather is not great, beware of the lack of space inside! It was full on our first night!”

“We really enjoyed our time in The Rowan Tree. We had a beautifull room. It was clean, comfortable and the bed was great. The hotel itself is everything you expect from a hotel in the Highlands: the interior, the atmosphere, everything breathes Scottish hospitality. The staff was very friendly and capable. Both owners were friendly, helpfull and even special wishes were granted! The food is very tasty...and so on. If you want to visit the Spey Valley: this is the place to be!”

“I've got the liver patè, the venison and the toffee pudding. Everything was just delicious and the stuff was very welcoming too. Just a side note: the pudding portion was a little too big. Excellent drams in the bar. Very much reccomended”

“We stayed at the Balavoulin for two nights with our 6 month old son and had a fabulous time. The dinner and the breakfast were amazing. The staff were very friendly and kind. They did everything to make us feel home. They were so supportive of us during the little one’s nap times. On top of that everything on the menu can be made gluten free - which was my favourite thing about our stay :)”

“Great food. We had the Persian salad with duck and halibut. Marvellous. Wild swim next to outdoor seating area completes the experience. Bring midge cream if your outside in the evening or on a still day.”

“I don’t do reviews very often but I honestly believe the Aviemore Inn definitely deserves the recognition, We tend to vist Aviemore each winter and always like to try eating out, and I have to say Aviemore Inn has been the best place to eat out that we have visited as far, the food was fantastic and the hospitality was even better, we even managed to get in a few games of Pool after dinner thanks again Mary for us we will most definitely come again next year ?”
