The Bistro
92 Sandgate, AyrThroughly enjoyed all aspects of the restaurant. My family and I visited during the evening at around 8:30pm and found it to be one of the only restaurants in the area still serving food at that time. The sea beam was excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the restaurant. All parts of the meal had high quality ingredients and a very well developed flavor profile. The food is exceptional for the prices and is of the quality you may find at a fine dining restaurant.

Couldn’t do enough for you, My son is autistic and had a adhd so eating out isn’t usually an option for us but with no waiting times to place orders and helping ourselves to food and drinks I think we have found a new place I am able to take him to he can enjoy himself and he even gave a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend

Cecchini’s Italian restaurant
72 Fort St, AyrGenerally really lovely place. 2 fixed price menus to pick from (2 pizza / pasta for £10 or 2 courses for £18.95) for adults in addition to main menu. Kids menu had some funny names which the kids liked “whatever” “I want to go home”. I really enjoyed my food as did my husband. A couple in our party had pizza which they found watery (though neither said anything so can’t comment on how the restaurant would have responded). We also found a hair in one of our ice creams which I insisted on reporting. The waiting staff were very apologetic and the cost of that ice cream was removed from the bill. We are a party of 12 including 7 children and the staff were very kind and accommodating. Would recommend. We are staying at haven Craig Tara and was easy to get to and there was plenty of parking (we ate here on a Monday evening).

2A Academy St, AyrI have been coming with friends for the quiz nights for just over a month and its such a great night out. Really nice venue with a cracking beer garden area. Staff are all lovely, friendly and welcoming. Drinks reasonably prices too. Havent tried the food yet but it always looks and smells delicious. It is down a rather steep set of concrete steps which would be the only drawback but it adds to the character of the venue and it really stands out, always have the best night here

67-69 Sandgate, AyrWe picked this place while looking for another. We were late for the dinner hour - after 8 p.m., so our experience was partly due to our lateness. It took awhile for the hostess to notice us even though the place was not that busy. Only three other tables were seated at the time. \n\nThe menu was typical British fare - hamburgers, fish and chips, mac and cheese, chicken, but on the spendy side. Also an 8% fee is added to each bill for service, this is unusual for the UK, at least outside London. \n\nPartner ordered the fish and chips, but the server returned to say they were out of cod and he would only be able to do fish strips. He would add extra though to compensate. The plate arrived with five smallish but glistening with oil strips atop a bed of fries. \n\nThe atmosphere is lovely. The hanging fern baskets especially lovely, the bar extensive, this was more or less a velvet touched English pub.

We went for the variety box (pictured) and everything from the chicken, to the dips, naan bread and fresh salad was absolute perfection.

An amazing menu made it a little difficult to make our choices but everything we ordered was delicious. Freshly prepared with the best of produce. We chose starters of Scallops with Stornoway black pudding; and a Prawns & Mussels dish, with mains of Chicken Milanese; and Smoked haddock Risotto, both perfectly cooked and presented. Unfortunately we only booked this restaurant on the final day of our trip but would certainly return there and recommend it to all.\nMake sure to book early!

The establishment is simply beautiful inside, staff were very friendly and accommodated for my sons milk intolerance with ease. The food is simply amazing and the portion sizes are generous. There is good parking facilities near the restaurant but more importantly you get a really good quality 2 course meal for just £14.99 per person. \n\nThe service we have had when dining at Smith’s has been first class. Its my go to dish for a first visit and I was not disappointed, not spoilt by too much salt either, well worth choice. My son had the Singapore Chow Mein for which he had fullsome praise, it was 90% taste and 10% heat which was perfect he said.
Price very competitive, change from £20 which is good.

Order was phoned in and taken in a very professional manner. Entire order was read back to ensure accuracy. All dishes ordered (Crispy Chilli Chicken, Chicken Balls, Honey Chicken, Mongolian Lamb, Jungle Curry) were excellent + complimentary spring rolls. Chilli ratings on the menu were spot on for the Lamb and Curry. Did take over 1hr for delivery and had to phone back to check where order was, but worth the wait. 5 Stars, might be our new go to!

Content Ave, AyrWe thought we would give the westerly a try and see how it was. Both decided to dress up and make a date out of it, and I'm glad we did! The restaurant itself is attractive and has a good atmosphere. Staff (students) were brill and absolutely did their best. Our waiter was Adam and it was his first day, he was so sweet! The food was incredible. Far better than we expected, and if in any non training restaurant, could easily have been triple the price. Will definitely be back

Parking: There is a large supermarket car park and if that is full there is another free parking area just behind.

Couldn’t do enough for you, My son is autistic and had a adhd so eating out isn’t usually an option for us but with no waiting times to place orders and helping ourselves to food and drinks I think we have found a new place I am able to take him to he can enjoy himself and he even gave a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend

It was the first time in quite some time that we dined out and were highly impressed with the experience. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive and professional, even during a busy period. We appreciated the relaxed pace of the meal, allowing us to enjoy each course without feeling rushed. We look forward to returning in the future and would highly recommend the Sunday Roast Beef, which was exceptionally well-prepared. Thank you for your hospitality.

2 Dalblair Rd, AyrThis restaurant was suggested by friends who eat here regularly and we were so glad that we tried it. It was excellent. An amazing menu made it a little difficult to make our choices but everything we ordered was delicious. Freshly prepared with the best of produce. We chose starters of Scallops with Stornoway black pudding; and a Prawns & Mussels dish, with mains of Chicken Milanese; and Smoked haddock Risotto, both perfectly cooked and presented. Unfortunately we only booked this restaurant on the final day of our trip but would certainly return there and recommend it to all.\nMake sure to book early!

Boy was he right,
Excellent portions, chips amazing full of flavour, non greasy, chilli cheese bites awesome.
Fantastic prices.
We will be visiting this chippy again as we stay at Craig Tara regularly,
Cant wait to try all of the menu.
I would 100% recommend it to all.

Low Coylton, Coylton, AyrA very nicely run business, situated just 5 minutes drive from Sundrum Castle. The establishment is simply beautiful inside, staff were very friendly and accommodated for my sons milk intolerance with ease. The food is simply amazing and the portion sizes are generous. I was surprised with the pricing as it was very good for the size of your portion. This was my first time visiting and everytime we visit Sundrum Castle we will defiantly be going back here for dinner.

45-51 Beresford Terrace, AyrI have passed this cafe for over 6 years so today I decided to try. Ordered my regular choice of drink. Mocha was hot and tasty the scone was delicious I really don't understand why cafés give hard butter with crumbling scones so getting a soft jar of butter ?.I sat out side but what I saw inside was nice, the staff a friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend visiting here

Cecchini’s Italian restaurant
72 Fort St, AyrGenerally really lovely place. 2 fixed price menus to pick from (2 pizza / pasta for £10 or 2 courses for £18.95) for adults in addition to main menu. Kids menu had some funny names which the kids liked “whatever” “I want to go home”. I really enjoyed my food as did my husband. A couple in our party had pizza which they found watery (though neither said anything so can’t comment on how the restaurant would have responded). We also found a hair in one of our ice creams which I insisted on reporting. The waiting staff were very apologetic and the cost of that ice cream was removed from the bill. We are a party of 12 including 7 children and the staff were very kind and accommodating. Would recommend. We are staying at haven Craig Tara and was easy to get to and there was plenty of parking (we ate here on a Monday evening).

The Coylton Fish and chips
Murray Park, 1, AyrA huge tea (2 fish per portion) and everything was cooked beautifully and all very reasonably priced. We’re currently here in Coylton on holiday, so thank you for giving us a lovely family meal which we all really enjoyed.

There is good parking facilities near the restaurant but more importantly you get a really good quality 2 course meal for just £14.99 per person. \n\nThe service we have had when dining at Smith’s has been first class. It was also nice to see our favourite waitress Nicola on duty as she looks after us so well. A lovely, down to earth lady who never stops and makes us laugh every time we are in. \n\nThe restaurant and outdoor seating area was very busy for midweek, therefore we \nhighly recommend booking before visiting this very popular bar & restaurant. ?

12 Carrick St, AyrThank you to Lisa, the team and Chefs for a superb Valentines weekend Menu. Food was fantastic. Everything tasted fresh. Great Customer Service. Value for Money. Lisa and staff were very attentive nothing was too much bother. I have Anaphylaxis, I notified the team in advance as I could see the item of food was on the menu. The staff were great as were the Chefs to ensure no cross contamination. If you haven’t been before to the Stage Door Cafe it’s well worth a visit.

Wellingtons Lounge Bar
17 Wellington Square, AyrFirst time visit to Wellingtons lounge bar and we had a great time. Bar is actually relatively small but was very lively and noisy. Had the House Curry which was delicious and came with egg fried rice; plentiful prawns, meat and taste. Its my go to dish for a first visit and I was not disappointed, not spoilt by too much salt either, well worth choice. My son had the Singapore Chow Mein for which he had fullsome praise, it was 90% taste and 10% heat which was perfect he said.
Price very competitive, change from £20 which is good.
Clean plates all round tell the tale, thanks very much, well glad we called in and met you, great conversation too.

163 Whitletts Rd, AyrOrdered from 163 last night for the 1st time due to our regular Chinese takeaway being closed, it did come recommended, glad we chose here. Order was phoned in and taken in a very professional manner. Entire order was read back to ensure accuracy. All dishes ordered (Crispy Chilli Chicken, Chicken Balls, Honey Chicken, Mongolian Lamb, Jungle Curry) were excellent + complimentary spring rolls. Chilli ratings on the menu were spot on for the Lamb and Curry. Did take over 1hr for delivery and had to phone back to check where order was, but worth the wait. 5 Stars, might be our new go to!

2A Academy St, AyrI have been coming with friends for the quiz nights for just over a month and its such a great night out. Really nice venue with a cracking beer garden area. Staff are all lovely, friendly and welcoming. Drinks reasonably prices too. Havent tried the food yet but it always looks and smells delicious. It is down a rather steep set of concrete steps which would be the only drawback but it adds to the character of the venue and it really stands out, always have the best night here
