Honestly, my gf and I cannot think of a better meal and atmosphere we have had in the last decade. We have lived in France, Spain and other places in Europe, and dined in countless restaurations, many great ones, but never left any place a review. Tonight we had to do so, because what we experienced in The Laroch was a revelation. No words. Humble, homemade food, but flavours, service and atmosphere is worthy of 5 stars. No doubt. Go and eat here.

The food was delicious. The service was friendly but a bit slow. I chalk that up to the large customer base. Definitely worth a visit.

We had 6 people for dinner as an alternative to both local restaurants with hamburgers but it turned out badly. The food is not funny at all. The tough meat, the tasteless sea bass... Other typical dishes were sold out.

The ingredients here are fresh. The only thing I can say is that the sea-bass and oyster are the taste of the sea.The venison was softened and properly cooked with rich red wine jus.The dessert like the strawberry tart were good balance of cream, pastry, and strawberry.I saw the developing attempts of the chef to integrate Asian ingredients into his recipe. It was very interesting. For instance, Edameme went well with the Venison gravy. The only negative comment is that Bol choi might not be a great choice to add into risotto because it doesn’t give more flavour to it. Simply, unnecessary. However, don’t get me wrong. It is very good in general.Nevertheless, the price was very good for the quality I have got. Therefore, I highly recommend this place.

After being seated we waited over 30 minutes before being served for drinks. Terrible service, the staff seemed very unorganised and lacked an experienced leader on the floor. Interior decor definitely needs an upgrade, for the prices of the food the atmosphere should at least reflect some sort of civilised restaurant instead of an outdated roadside diner. The food was the only saving grace, but there are much better options in the area.

We were visiting from Wales and wanted to experience Scottish food... can honestly say Best meal we've had in a long time. I had Haggis bon bon starter, Venison main and Orange&drambuie creme brulee, hubby had Haggis bon bon, Thia curry and Sticky toffee pudding.. all were lush. Service was fast and friendly, wine was pretty tasty too?well worth the money for sure?

Food was great, service was excellent, atmosphere was good but if there was maybe a live music Saturday night I would have rated atmosphere a 5, but everything was good all round ?

Visited the Laroch restaurant this evening because it was close to our hotel. Everything was fine until my husband noticed a live ant scurrying around his plate after he'd eaten half of his meal. We alerted a member of staff who spoke to the kitchen on our behalf. We were offered a replacement fish, however, we'd both lost our appetite at this point. We couldn't finish our meals but still paid in full for everything which is a little disappointing. The young man who served us was lovely and apologetic.

Hands down best meal we had while visiting the area! Seems just a local pub with restaraunt on the side, so we were very surprised to find the food to such a high standard. The venison was to die for!

We had a really excellent meal which suited both adults and children. The food was interesting and beautifully cooked and presented. I can recommend it. The prices were reasonable

We’ve been visiting Ballachulish for 20 years and never visited this place. What a mistake. Best food I’ve had in ages. Well thought out and varied menu, perfectly cooked. ?

Booked this in the week before nice and easy. Absolutely lovely restaurant and the food was really really good! You could tell the waitresses were young and inexperienced but it didn’t matter at all, were very helpful when asked. Would love to go back when we’re nearby again.

We made a reservation for this busy place and we had one of the best meals we had in Scotland here.

A lovely gem of a restaurant. We were staying in Glencoe for a week and we liked this place so much the first time we visited again. Excellent food, quick service, and a good selection of gin and whisky.

Absolutely delicious food served remarkably quickly too. All the staff are so friendly too. Definitely recommend this as number 1 choice out of the multitude of eateries around here. The sticky toffee pudding... Unbelievable. The beef fell apart. Insanely good. The fish and chips - unreal. All in all - just go!Parking: Maybe 10-12 spaces.
