Outstanding hotel in Inverness. Beautiful hotel with rich history. Staff 5 star and currently doing renovations. Only regret is I’ll be on west coast for trip in April. Will visit again soon.

We have been to the garden of the Culloden hotel in the last summer of ‘23. This time we just passed by that route. It a beautiful and serene garden with lots of beautiful flowers and delicious fruits like different varieties apples and plums. I would recommend those who go to Culloden Hotel you must visit the garden especially in summer.

A group of us chose Culloden House for our annual pre Christmas lunch. We arrived and enjoyed a drink in the bar before we were seated. The food looked incredible and tasted even better. We had excellent service from Kyle & Hazel in the restaurant. Would highly recommend this beautiful place for families or a group of friends looking for a pre Christmas meet up.

STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!Horrid hotel, fraudsters. I reserved one price, they charged me another and won't respond to emails for refund. When I was taken to room upon arrival I stated I had reserved a smaller room, and man said it was an "upgrade." Whole experience started horribly- as hotel arranged driver pickup from airport for me since rental cars were closed at night- driver was 20 minutes late ,late at night, no notification, no excuse, no apology! I had to wait as there were zero other transportation options and my foreign cell service had not kicked-in. Car smelled like smoke, had to drive with window lowered in the cold. I traveled alone (friend who was to accompany me had passed away, but I heard Scotland was kind so I went anyway by myself) and so they sat me in the ugly, moldy side room to eat with the bus drivers (it is actually a cheap tour hotel!), full of dirty tables stacked with breakfast dishes. In main dining room at dinner when I insisted I deserved to be sat with other paying clients, they put a table for me right next to the busboy stand where all night they bumped my chair and I heard staff lamenting on how bad the management is. They brought my food before I had even finished the previous course, so what I did get to eat was only partial and cold (and cost a fortune!). Next morning again sat me ALONE! in sad moldy room with only high windows you cannot see out of and treated me so badly they made me cry forcing me to leave without even getting to eat breakfast (which they charged me a FORTUNE for). Room VERY old, and not in the quaint historical context. No plugs by the bed for phone charging, no way to keep widows open (and no screens so full of bugs once I propped it up with a book taken from downstairs). Wi-fi intermittent and downstairs nonexistent. Mattress unsleepable, lumpy and just two twins pushed together without benefit of gap filler. Centuries old carpet and no slippers. Bar refused to serve outside people I wanted to invite for a cocktail- the only nice people I met. The only positive point was a darling Irish man working at breakfast the first day (never saw him again unfortunately- they need to promote HIM to manager and fire everyone else!). They say they have bagpipers at night... 2 nights, nobody! Nobody Scottish associated with the hotel- all foreigners.I repeat- STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

I fell in love with Culloden House as soon as I saw it. We have had amazing meals and afternoon teas there over the years, and most recently had exclusive use for our wedding. Leena and George were amazing in helping plan our day. Chef Scott produced the most delicious food all day, night and for breakfast the next day. And of course we couldn't not mention Kyle. Everyone at Culloden House helped make our day an absolute dream, so much so, we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back, a lot. We could not have had our special day at any other location.Noteworthy details: The staff at Culloden House were absolutely amazing!! We really appreciated getting some canapés taken out to us while we were getting photos taken.

Beautiful property. We were there as a large group for a golf vacation so the location was ideal in many ways. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and didn't miss a mark. I don't feel they were adequately staffed to handle such a large sized group (12) for breakfast as it took over 45 minutes to be served. Other than that the room we had was spacious and overlooked the beautiful property. Cons: no A/C, inadequate outlets, rooms and decor were very outdated but we were told they are in the process of starting a (much needed) renovation.

Of all the Hotels and Castles we stayed at for our honeymoon in Scotland, Culloden House was by far our favorite! We had an amazing stay and they put a special personal touch on everything. We asked for reservations for dinner away from the hotel and they made us reservations at the number one restaurant in Inverness. We didn’t even know until our Uber told us the restaurant had a 3 month wait list. When we thought it could not get any better we had dinner with Culloden House. It was amazing. Could not have been any better. If you’re not sure about staying just go ahead and book them. Also make sure to walk through the back lawn to the fence because a local farmer has 5 highland Coos! We saw them and made the 500 foot walk to meet them. Only wish we had carrots to entice them over to us!

I have never been made to feel so unwelcome in a hotel. I was judged for what I was wearing and how I looked. It was not acceptable for dinner. I was told I was not going to be able to eat in the restaurant as they have a dress code and shorts are not alloud it was Humiliating and made me feel like. I was a second class citizen and not worth staying in the hotel. I did not have any trousers with me so it was not a matter of changingI asked, could we have food in the room? And said no, so we ended up having to go out to find. I take away restaurant it was not acceptable. I will not visit the hotel again and I cannot recommend it.

Beautiful looking place but bit underwhelmed since they didn't put any effort to improve landscape. Rooms are not well maintained, especially for price we paid. Tennis court was not in good condition. Service staff was good.

Culloden House impressed us from the start. As you drive up to the beautiful estate, the house is quite impressive. The staff are amazing! Kyle helped us with our bags and since then has continued to help us. He's great to joke around with and always has a smile on his face. We had dessert in the dining room and it was delicious. My wife and I shared the cheesecake and chocolate and both were fantastic. We stayed in the Inverlochy Castle the night before and we liked the Culloden House better. It's the staff that make it great here. The walled flower garden is better here than at Inverlochy Castle also. We quite enjoyed our stroll in it, eating fresh apples and plums straight from the trees. Our room was comfortable and quite spacious. We loved it here!

The hotel and staff were amazing. The gardens are unbelievable and the food is Gordon Ramsey worthy. The nicest room I have ever been in.
