Just stayed at the Lodges, we ate a few time at the restaurant. The food was incredible (highly recommend the scotch eggs & steaks), staff were so friendly they really made us so welcome and made our stay. We had 3 children with us and an oap in a wheelchair, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely tasty food but restaurant can do with a deep clean. Thick cobwebs in curtains Window ledges mucky. Chimney covered in dust which people have drawn in. Windows covered in hand prints.

Beef absolutely full of fat. Carrots rock hard. Fish pretty vile. Served up cheap frozen roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Pretty sure the chefs go to Beefeater restaurants after here. The only thing good was the serving staff. They were absolutely fantastic.
