Our coffee was served luke warm, we asked if it could be reheated for us quite politely and were told we should have asked for it to be hot!?! The manager then appeared eventually with the 'hot'' coffee and said the staff were not allowed to serve hot coffee for health and safety reasons. He was extremely rude and I felt quite intimidated by him. Other customers commented on the way we treated and said they will not be going back, needless to say neither will we.

We went for lunch and ordered soup and a panini, second panini, 2 x coffee, juice, milk and a portion of chips. We were asked was it all to be served together, "yes" the toasted panini's turned into warm soft baguettes. £24 ish. The cappuccino was forgotten and then we were told it hadn't been charged, so another £3. Both coffees were lukewarm at best. The wedges didn't arrived so I chased them up and finally soggy wedges were presented to us when I had already finished my baguette. I was too embarrassed to ask for a refund. It was like a road side truck stop but charging a nice cafe's prices...

We ate in and the coffee, cake and lentil soup was lovely. So nice to see young people serving and such a nice wee place to enjoy a break.Vegetarian options: Great to see veggies catered for, would have been nice to have brown bread though
I pop in here on a regular basis and I always get a cheery greeting and an amazing cup of coffee. Would definitely recommend

Coffee was lukewarm. When I asked for it to be reheated I was told I should have asked for it to made extra hot when I ordered it!! After 5 minutes it has still not reappeared. I was told the the manager that there were 6 orders ahead of me and I would have to wait. Eventually it was delivered by the manager. I told him the service was unacceptable. He told me I was rude and to leave. He tried to pick up my coffee from the table but I beat him to it. I refused to leave, and at this point I think he realised he had overstepped the mark and left us. Two foreign women sitting next to us were astonished by his behaviour and said they hoped it didn’t spoil our day. Well it didn’t, we’re thick skinned. What they must have thought of Scottish hospitality I can only guess. We are a couple in our 60s who just wanted a good cup of coffee. We have both worked in hospitality and appreciate the pressures of working in busy periods. The appropriate way to deal with our minor complaint would have been to apologise and deliver our coffee asap. Clearly the management don’t like complaints.

Absolutely delightful cafe in the most adorable setting on the Market Square in Alyth. A perfect Country Market town in Perthshire, Scotland. The food and service is excellent. The cafe is really pleasant, impeccably clean, full of light with a lovely kindly atmosphere. Well worth a visit after a wonderful walk up in the Den of Alyth. Magical

I contacted Ashley as I can’t get out and about, to see if she would be able to do a lunch platter tray for me as my mother in law was coming for lunch, wanted something special. Well wow, we had 2 lots of sandwiches, a huge slice of quiche and of course one of the famous strawberry tarts. It was amazing. Well worth the money I paid. Also, even though they couldn’t open the cafe they still got someone to be there for my son to pick this up. Tremendous service. A+++++
