This was a great night out for my wife and myself. Great welcome, friendly staff and the food was fantastic. Traditional menu selection but I would recommend the steak and ale pie and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Generous portions and very tasty. The pastry top was excellent. All home made by Jenny the chef. The place was very well set up, clean and has a cosy atmosphere. Drinks and food were delivered professionally and timeously. The staff were brilliant and I couldn't fault them. I was driving so there was a good selection of non-alcoholic beers. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend to everyone.

Wee local pub. Has a function room/restaurant side but that part has been closed mostly for meals since the pandemic I think so haven't been able to have a meal there yet (hence the 4 stars)

A little out the way but worth the drive. Food is amazing, my dad loves the sticky toffee pudding. Steak pie is so tasty with generous servings.

Steak pie was passable but was bland and could have had a little bit more gravy. Lasagne was just okay. Apple crumble was tasteless and very few apples not recommended

This restaurant/pub has a very friendly, homely atmosphere. Lovely welcome on arrival. Staff and food excellent and varied. Vegetarian options available. Well worth a visit.

The last couple of times we went, we never enjoyed our meals, the steak pie had over cooked, chewy pieces of steak, upon speaking to the manager, she took the plate away, then returned a few moments later stating “the chef tasted it, and said it wasn’t over cooked, but it was borderline” I have never had that experience before, and they never even took anything off our bill, even though we couldn’t eat the steak pie. Also there seems to be an issue when you don’t book a table before hand, even if the restaurant is completely empty, they will make a bit of a song and dance by looking at each table for a few minutes before deciding where to place you. I would understand if there were table bookings later on, however it was empty the whole time we remained dining. Not really impressed, much prefer the Inns in Forth for local grub.
